First have your battery tested to make sure it has full cranking amps. You can also have your starter tested to make sure it is not overheating and have internall swelling or warping parts. If those check out ok, check valve timing, Make sure you are using an oil specified for you bike, a thicker oil will make it harder for the piston to move. Worn piston rings will also give give you troubles.

Just installed Archtic King 5,000 btu window AC unit. It has no thermostat and runs all night long. Every few minutes the AC slows down like a brown out and the lights dim. Why would it brown out?

If the compressor is having a hard time starting it will "pull down" on the electricity causing it to sound slow. Your compressor is probably not starting and this will make it run all the time with no cooling. The air will feel cool but not cold. If it is a new unit take it back. If it is a used unit it may have a loose or disconnected wire, a weak capacitor, or damaged compressor/circuit board.

1992 nissan sentra engine turns hard to start when cold it has spark takes a while to start after it starts i turn it off try again it starts every time

I recently came across a Sentra that had a blown head gasket. A head gasket can blow in a number of ways, this one was blown between number 2 and 3 cylinder, as well as between 3 and 4 cylinder, across the combustion chambers.
One would expect the car to at least misfire, but this one didn't, it ran like a clock, only had power loss and hard starting when cold.
Just try to have a compression test taken at your local service station and see what gives.
The only other suggestion I have is that your fuel pump may be dicey. The logic is that when cold, the car had stood for a while and fuel had run back from the carb through the pump valves and it takes some time for the pump to push it back to the carb. When it eventually does, the engine will start and when you switch it off and start again, the fuel is there and the engine kicks over immediately since the fuel did not have time to run back.
Someone else have a handle on this one?

Starting Problem

Fully charge the battery and see if it starts like it should. If your battery is fully charged, but still turns over slowly, its your starter. If using a fully charged battery solves your problem, its your alternator.

Why is my Yamaha Banshee is hard to start

It looks like your compression is too low (worn rings from dusted motor) Push starting spins the motor faster than kick starting and when hot the rings expand just enough to seal off. Before kicking a cold motor try putting in a squirt or two of engine oil in the plug hole to see if there is a difference.

2007 honda crf 250 r hard starting when cold ,

There is a proper way to start an engine. Most bikes have four controls to assist in starting.
  • The choke, used when the engine is cold. Pull the red knob for choke.
  • The " Hot Start " Lever, used when the engine is hot. Pull the lever to lean the fuel mix when the engine has been running.
  • The de-compression lever, always used.
  • The throttle, used to prime the cylinder.
Don't kick, instead, push the kick lever downward. You will feel the back pressure as the piston is going upward on the compression stroke to the point the pressure is great enough that the kick lever "locks up". You are very close to TDC. NOW, pull in the de-compression lever. Push the kick lever a little bit more to get the piston past TDC. Now release the de-compression lever. Give the throttle a 1/4 turn then let it snap closed. A diaphragm in the carb gives a shot of gas when this is done. DO NOT do this multiple times because you will flood the engine. Leave the throttle closed when kicking. A flooded engine will often backfire. Now give a strong kick through the full sweep of the kick start lever. Quickly get your foot off the kick lever at the end of the kick to avoid any chance of "kickback" from the kick lever. This happens in the case of a misfire, aka > backfire. It can be very painful, and can even break a leg. I am serious about that. Repeat the process (but without the throttle priming), until the bike starts. Go ahead and give it another primer shot after the 5th kick attempt. A good battery, a clean spark plug, a clean carb and clean air filter will also aid in starting.

Xr600r is hard starting when cold.

Your description makes it sound like it's running lean, not rich. A general setting for all pilot screws is one and a quarter to one and a half turns open.....not necessarily for that model. Do you turn on the choke when it's cold? Is the choke working correctly?
