Use 10w40 motor oil. NEVER use synthetics or oils with "Special" lubricant additives. They can mess up the cork on the clutch plates.

Sorry tombones that is 100% not true. the use of 10x40 is the dumbest thing you can do to a late model moto-xr. You are a Suzuki guy..? you shgould know Suzuki themselves offer a 2 stroke gearbox oil full synthetic for that exact app. and if it is a F meaning a 4 stroke then again the synthetic gearbox oil is the untimate in protection and grip for the clutches. I use Mobil1 75w80w in my road racer gear box. ( a two stroke BTW) and for my street bike ...
A SUZUKI GSXR 1100 I use Mobil1 for the trans and motor there to. They have a specific 4 stroke motorcycle oil made for this. I have been racing 2 and 4 stroke bikes for a LONG time. Never has a synthetic made a clutch slip.

BTW, my SUZUKI road race bike..? RG500 do you even know what one is..?
You guys make me laugh .. who in the hell gave you a job at a dealer..?

I use 10w40 but 20w40 is suppost to be used. it wont make that much of a difference. 20w40 is allot more expensive though. just use 10w40 it should be ok

Can I ues 5-40 synthetic oil in my 2005 2.7 D S Type Jaguar

I would consult the owner's manual or an online forum for Jaguar. Synthetic oil can be used in any engine that regular oil is used in. The weight of the oil should be specified in the owner's manual and probably also on a decal beneath the hood, maybe on the air cleaner. I am not familiar with Jaguars so don't know what they specify. Most modern cars use 5-X muti-vis oil; It is supposed to act like 5 W oil on starts to make it easier to start and to get oil circulating to the top of the engine where it has dripped down since the engine was last run. The X would be the supposed viscosity once the engine is running. You can always use a heavier oil and it will provide better protection of internal parts, particularly at the top of the engine on cold starts but you generally sacrifice a little fuel mileage.

My Gravely 2011 0 turn model number 915146has a briggs and stratton engine smokes like it is burning oil. I change the oil religiously with good 30 weight oil.

in dusty conditions the crankcase breather will clog , in which the crankcase builds excess causing oil to be forced by the rings.
clean the crankcase breather.

2 or 4 cycle oil for a Ranch King 6.0 lawn mower? What kind or type of oil should use?

If you mean oil for the crankcase use need 4 cycle oil Ususally 30 weight and don't over fill Most small engine do not even take a quart only about 20 oz.

If you mean to mix with gas ( I doubt this) but then you need 2 cycle oil depending on the mixture usually about 3 oz to a gallon of gas (3.2 oz / gal = 40:1 ratio, 2.5 oz/ =50:1)

Is there likely to be a problem if there is oil in my air breather tube 2001 porsche cerrera

You might try replacing the PCV (valve) which is supposed to relieve crankcase pressure by venting into the vacuum side of the intake system. You could also have some excessive piston blow-by due to ring wear.

I just bought a Weed Eater 22" gas push mower. Do I mix oil with the gas to run, as I do not see an oil input? p.s. I purchased this at a yard sale.

If it has a dipstick or plug to check the oil in the engine you do NOT mix gas and oil.
Use regular unleaded gas only and use 30 weight detergent oil in the engine crankcase if it is low.

1998 kdx oil

Use 10w40 motor oil in the gear box. Don't use any synthetic oils, oil marked "EC", or oil with "special" additives.

Use Two Stroke ENGINE oil in the pump. If not doing an automatic oil pump the mix the gas and oil 32 to 1. That equals 4 ounces of two stroke ENGINE oil to one gallon of gas. NEVER use motor oil in the gas. Only two stroke engine oil.
