Hello,

Thanks for using FixYa again.

All you need to do is to mix coolant and water in your radiator. A 50/50 mixture would be nice. Make sure that you use distilled water.

I hope this helps. Thanks and good day.

Hi my f150 2000 is overheating i just changed the thermastat and drained the coolent but it still over heat's from the tank were i put the coolent in it's like it does not move through the truck it...

I hope you had change the thermostat with the same heat range with old one. If you there is no liquid flow, you need to check the liquid/water pump. In long time use , the water pump can get weared on its impeller / blades. Another thing need to check is your coolant/radiator fan. Why the the terminal in relay box get melted? It can tell us two things. the first is LOOSE connection ( please the power connection - it should secured fitted). Second thing is your FAN. Is it running smooth? If your fan running rough and noisy, the bearing could be a problem. If it running intermittently the carbon brush coukd be a problem.
So please narrow down the problem first before get it fixed

Best Luck

Car still overheating after i put in coolent

First, disconnect your negative battery terminal for 3-5 minutes, this will clear out any old code readings. Re-attach the neg battery cable, start the car and let the car idle until the problem re occurs. If you have a bad thermostat, then lower radiator hose will be significantly cooler then the upper radiator hose. This is because the thermostat has become locked in the closed position and is not allowing coolant to travel through the motor and back to the lower radiator hose. Also, if you do replace your thermostat, make sure to buy a thermostat rated for 1090 or 190, don't use a 180 rating. Using a hemostat with a different rating, can cause other components of the cooling system to work improperly, refer to your owner’s manual or a Haynes/Chilton manual to be absolutely certain.

Heat does not work

you can find the coolent lines into the heater through the fire wall disconect them and put pressure through the core to see if its clogged other than that possably a coolent flush cause stuff builds up in the antifreeze and clogs the lines. your heater uses the heat from the engine coolent to heat the air in the heatercore so naturally if you got bad coolent you got heating problems too
