my speedometer will work every now and then but most the time it will read all the way up to 120 mph or stay at the wrong speed its not the speedometer or the dashboard cluster that's been checked out its a 2007 Pontiac Torrent FWD 5 speed transmission and it runs great. What do you think it could be?
Don't start replacing parts until you know for sure what has failed. I would say that the PCM is not the problem here. As far as the gas pedal is concerned, it sounds like you may have a broken linkage at the pedal, these trucks do not have a cable but only a rheostat that the computer reads. The tachometer and speedometer problem could be a bad cluster. You need to see a good mechanic to get a diagnosis.
Pretty common problem with these. Here's a guide to learn how to fix GM instrument clusters yourself, I used it to fix mine and it worked great. How to guide for Envoy instrument cluster repair
this is normal for the transmisson to down shift out of over drive it does this because your engine is running out of power on the up grade. now you shouldnt be alarmed unless it slips out of overdrive on a flat road
This is pretty common on the 2005 Mustangs, it's caused by failing stepper motors in the instrument cluster, they control the movement of the gauges. There's a guide on how to fix them here - 2005 Mustang speedometer problem
