You had best get the bike to a dealer for repairs. If the bike is making the sounds as you say, is is highly likely the tranny will self destruct at any moment > like at 60 mph in heavy traffic. You are risking your life if you continue to ride the bike.

Humming noise coming from transmission when its in neutral. push the clutch in and it stops. suppose to be a new clutch also it runs great but if you lift the rear end off the ground the wheels will s

A noise in neutral that goes when the clutch is disengaged indicates a front input shaft bearing in the gear box . When the clutch is out that shaft is spinning along with the cluster shaft in the gear box. When the clutch is in that shaft stops (to engage first gear) and the bearing is no longer working.. It normally means a box out job.

Very Hard to say where a Clatter is coming from.
Do you have an Automatic or Manual Transmission?
Does it make a noise when you are turning and it stays in 4WD?

When i change gears without going into neutral it makes a terrible sound. Is my transmission going?

Hi there:
If its only heard when its in reverse gear then further checks will need to be made to the gearbox, driveshafts,Gear linkages, clutch operation etc.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Just had new clutch fitted on 02 ford focus 1.6 now making noise but stops when i press clutch down

A couple of things comes to mind, when you press the clutch you disengage the transmission. When the clutch is not pressed the transmission still spins inside even when it is in neutral. Sounds like a bearing inside the transmission is making noise, did they put fluid back in the transmission? Also another common source of noise is the throw out bearing, it is on the input shaft, it is the actual part that presses against the clutch pressure plate, usually though they make noise when the clutch is pressed and quiet down when released.

If the pilot bearing was the problem it would make noise with the clutch pushed and go away when you let it out. Have you checked the fluid level in the transmission?

Manuel transmission nocking

While in Neutral, push the clutch pedal in and see if the noise changes. If so, you need a new clutch kit because your release bearing is failing. Also called the "throw out bearing".

97 dakota engine noise / fr lower clatter

Unless you are getting this vehicle really cheap dont buy it. the noise is likely a valve lifter, it can run for years like that. However the transmission is a different story, it could be a clogged filter an easy fix. or the valve body, clutches etc which is not.

Grinding noise when transmission is in neutral

That noise may be coming from your primary, not the tranny. Try adjusting the clutch, and (of course) make sure you have the correct amount of chaincase fluid in your primary. If that doesnt do it Change the trans fluid and see if that helps
