Cool. The bike has been sitting for the winter, but i've ridden her short distances recently, and no problem but the high idle. I end up having to adjust the idle screw quite alot while riding. The oil has been almost totally drained through the leak. I'll pour more oil in and restart to try to see where the leak may originate from. Petcock is a great idea, i hadn't even thoght of that, although it seems to be pretty obvious now that somebody else points it out. Will that cause the fuel to spray through the back of the carbs into the air cleaner? Petcock is my first start. Thank You so much.

Hello check your oil level also smell the oil for gas, has the bike been sitting for any long length of time.
Reason i ask this is and older bike and some times the fuel petcock goes bad and and fuel will weep into the crankcase overfilling the crankcase with fuel. plus your having carb problems worn needle seats Etc. carbs need cleaning. you need to check the fuel system from the fuel petcock and carbs.

I have toro recycler 6.75 oil keeps soaking the air filter please help

check oil level in the sump
if the fuel system does not have a tap the fuel can get to the sump
next the sunp breaths through a tube connected to the back if the air filter
If the motor and rings are worn then excessive blow by will push the oil fumes to the air filter and if the oil level is high then oil will come out as well

Rear injector will not function, it is open

Hi Anonymous, it's probably extremely contaminated with junk/trash/gunk/goop from the fuel tank. Ethanol is not your motorcycles friend. Check your fuel filter and bottom of fuel tank for evil stuff. You might be able to soak it a dish of injector cleaner and high pressure air blow it clean to get it close, then bench test it for function with a battery. If you can't get it to work replace it. Also after you clean your fuel filter and tank pour a bottle of fuel stablizer in with your next fill up. Good luck

Why is oil pouring out of my air filter on my tw 125

Hi Allison,
If you are sure , that it is JUST OIL, its OK :-). I mean, the air filter of TW is originally soaked with oil, thats how it works. If you take it out, it should be wet from oil but not dripping It has a hose for excess oil in the bottom (see pict)
take the hose out and clean it. Maybe it is full.
Be sure to check, whether it is not the FUEL that is leaking. In that case it would be a carburetor issue. Also check the oil level of engine.

I have a milwalkie 1/2 inch drive air rachet ...all of a sudden now it wont work when you hit the trigger air just comes out where the top of the rachet joins to the bottom there a way to fix it?

it sounds like the viens in the air motor may be stuck. try pouring some "Air Tool Oil" or any thin oil will do, even veg oil. when pouring it in make sure to pull the trigger so that the oil goes into the ratchet. let it soak for a while and try it. I hope this works for you.

Ive got a motorcycle that was wrecked and know it has white smoke from the pipes

Most people consider white smoke to be oil burning in the engine. But that is not always the case. If the carburetors are pouring too much fuel into the motor that can cause white smoke to pour out of the motor. If oil or antifreeze got into the exhaust system , that could take a few miles to burn out causing white smoke. Lets assume the bike was laying on it's side for a few hours. Did you check your air filter and air box to see if they were full of oil. An overlooked air filter clogged with oil may be all that is causing this issue.

My toyota lucida is pouring black smoke out of the exhurst and oil leval light is on

Is it a diesel or petrol motor? If it is Diesel or petrol then black smoke is a sign that it is using excessive fuel so it could be a blocked air filter or fuel filter. if it is a diesel motor. So check these 2 items first.
The low oil level light is on because the engine needs the oil topped up, if you fill it to the correct level this will make the oil level light switch off. Hope this helps, let me know how you get on.

I have had 2 strokes for nearly 20 years. got my first 4 banger yesturday, YZ250f 2004. wot should i be looking for, where and when do i fill up the oil, and it is just straight fuel in the tank is,nt it....

Checking the engine oil couldn't be any easier. On the lower left side of the engine, by the shift lever, is a round sight glass. With the bike held straight up, off the side stand, the oil should be somewhere near the center of the glass. Above the sight glass, also on the left side of the engine, is where you pour oil into the engine. On the bottom of the engine is a drain plug. I change my oil about every three months - or more depending on how much I ride. Use any high quality 10W-40 or 20W-50 (depending on the climate where you live) motor oil.
And yes; use straight (premium) fuel in the tank. The other thing that you will need to have done, perhaps every 50~100 hours of riding is a valve adjustment. For that I suggest you either buy a shop manual or take it to the dealer. Otherwise, there's not much else to do that is all that different from your previous bikes; oil and adjust the chain, tighten the spokes, clean the air filter, ride, etc.

Hi. My name is mike. I have a 09 750 Brute Force. I recently added the k&n air filter and HMF exhaust. It rode fine the first week i was home. It set up for 2 weeks and when i come back i drove it and...

replace the plug lead and clean the spark plug you are getting a short at plug and this causes loss of power if there is oil on filter this is cutting amount of air getting through to carb as it blocks air flow..check to see if you have a gasket blown for the oil leak check near where the filter is .. if you run the bike for a while get a piece of clean white paper and hold or tape it in place near the engine then give it some revs and look for a spray pattern on the paper.. you may have to move it around a bit to find the leak.

1997 suzuki savage

are you sure it's motor oil or air filter oil? Most people who regularly maintenence their air filter at every oil change clean it out and use a new "filter oil" u can find it by K&N it helps to collect the dirt that would otherwise pass thru a cheaper or paper filter causing future problems within the engine or fuel delivery system aka clogged carburator...
