My 07 yamaha R6 starts in neutral but stall when i put it into gear

There is a sidestand/kickstand switch. When this is activated (stand down) and you select gear it cuts the engine out. It is to prevent riding off with stand down. The switch sits on the bottom of the bike in the spray and mud when riding so gets clogged up. Spraying with (for example) WD40 cleans it up. pushing and pulling on the button will free it up as well. Failing that, disconnect or short it as a last resort. Easier done as a 2 man job (or woman lol) where one holds bike up or leans it away from the stand and the other gets down low and plays with the switch.
Good luck.

Why when I am riding my motorcycle and I pull the Clutch to gear down my motorcycle it cut off and take long to start back.

Are you saying that when you put the bike into gear to pull away from standing, the engine cuts out? If so, then check your side stand switch. It is there to cut the engine out if you try to ride off with your stand down. Your stand may be up but the switch may be telling the engine it is down.

Bike starts after charging a flat battery but why does it cut out when attempting to ride?

If you mean why does it cut out when you put it into gear and let the clutch out to ride off, then I would suspect the sidestand switch. Get someone to hold the bike upright and get down on the ground and raise and lower the sidestand. You will see a button switch underneath that is activated by the sidestand. This gets covered in road grime. Spray liberally with WD40 (or whatever) and press the button in and out. If it sticks in the activated position, the bike thinks the stand is down when you try to pull away cutting out the engine. Some make the circuit with the button not pressed and others when the button is pressed and you can see which way yours operates when you look. If the switch is faulty then replace the switch or short it across if activated with stand up, or disconnect if it is operated with stand down. Some bikes also have a similar system connected to the clutch lever.

Bike cutting out

Do you have the kickstand up when you put it in gear? Many bikes have a lockout on the side stand to prevent you riding away with the stand down. Kills the engine instantly when placed in gear with the stand down.

Hi, Darrensemail the ignition circuit cut-off system comprising of the side stand switch, clutch switch and neutral switch has the following functions:
a. It prevents starting when the transmission is in gear and the side stand is up, but the clutch lever is not pulled.
b. It prevents starting when the transmission is in gear and the clutch lever is pulled, but the side stand is still down.
c. It cuts the running engine when the transmission is in gear and the side stand is moved down.
Periodically check the operation of the ignition circuit cut-off system according to the following.
With the engine turned off:
1. Move the side stand down.
2. Make sure that the engine stop switch is set to "RUN"
3. Turn the key to "ON".
4. Shift the transmission into the neutral position.
5. Push the start switch if the engine does not start the neutral switch may be faulty.
With the engine still running:
6. Move the side stand up.
7. Keep the clutch lever pulled.
8. Shift the transmission into gear.
9. Move the side stand down if the engine does not stall you may have a faulty side stand switch.
After the engine has stalled:
10. Move the side stand up.
11. Keep the clutch lever pulled.
12. Push the start switch if the engine does not start you may have a faulty clutch switch.
This check is most reliable if performed with a warmed-up engine.

Stand cut out

Possibly, but you can short it out to prove the switch. try pulling the clutch in when you start. The stand cut out should only cut the engine if the bike is in gear.

I have an 94 Intruder 800 it starts and all but when I put it gear it cuts off what culd this be

There is a sensor on the side stand that cuts the engine if you try to start it while the bike is in gear. There is a good chance that the sensor is sticking so when you raise the stand, the plunger in the centre of the sensor is not moving and so it appears that the stand is still down.

The sensor is located right at the top of the stand. Having located the sensor, get someone to hold the bike upright for you while you raise the stand. spray lubricant/easing oil onto the plunger and see if you can gently wiggle it free, moving it in and out until it works by its self
