I have a 92 honda shadow vlx600 I removed the air box lines and baffles put v stacks put stage 5 jet kit, diaphragm air fuel at 1.5 turns rear cylinder hotter than other and more pressure than other

Hi Jesus:
Considering the age of the machine I would be checking the compression before doing much more.
Here's my check:
- Pull spark plugs.
- Check and record compression.
- If low, squirt a bit of oil into the cylinder, spin over to coat rings, then check compression. If large increase, rings need replacing.
If very little change, valves need servicing.
Hope this helps.
Nice Horse!

Do you need to rejet after removing baffles from exhaust on a 1997 honda shadow 1100 ace?

Yes, once you remove the baffles this reduces the back pressure hence clearing the engine cylinders more quickly, this means a leaner fuel mixture, go up maybe 2 sizes, run the bike and just check the performance or even easier maybe dyno tune.

Hesitates and backfires

hi the air box and exhaust restrict the air movement through the cyclinders to match the jets in the carbs. i have bikes that you can remove baffles or airbox with no problem, others are so finely tunes that it is impossible to run the bike without the restriction. the easy option would be to get a jet and air filter kit. then if you need to restrict air flow any (hopefully you wont need to) you could very slightly raise the inlet/outlet valve gaps to the maximum amount which will open the valves for a slightly shorter time. you could also restrict the exhaust by using large washers on the exhaust gaskets. similar to those used to restrict a bike.

I have a 2005 Honda Shadow 1100 what has to be done to change the exhaust system. Would like alittle more rumble sound not like the lawn mower sound it has now.

Your Honda is designed to give you many , happy, trouble free miles. Honda's are known for there stock quiet. Your Honda will NEVER sound like a Harley. When you modify it , it will only sound like a lawn mower with a blown out muffler. If you still want to proceed , you can drill out the baffles if you have a drill bit that is a foot long. If you decide to modify your stock system you have to drill through several chambers of the baffles to relieve the back pressure. With this method if you are disappointed with the out come you can not put the stock muffler back on. Drill only one hole at a time and drive the bike for a day to see if you have achieved the desired affect. If you relieve too much back pressure and develop a flat spot in your acceleration you will have to put in new main jets or a jet kit with needles to restore your performance. You will also have to install a jet kit if you change the exhaust system. I do not have a recommendation for a system . If you go this route be sure the system you pick has a baffle that is adjustable or changeable so you can adjust the sound. Warning: all aftermarket systems will be louder than you want them to be and ear plugs may not be enough to help.

How do you remove baffles out of the bike

On my 1998 I cut old muffler off. Inside I found smaller pipes. I could remove the baffles. So I order the same size pipe as the out side pipe from JEGS. Welded it over the smaller pipe. Has a nice tone and now getting better MPG. Hope this helps. My HD friends will not ride on my right. They say it's to loud.

Hello, i have a 1994 honda vt 600 vlx with 1 5/8 cobra drag pipes that have no baffles or mufflers in them.its all stock and i was wondering what cobra jet kit should i run so it wont run lean.any answers...

they are not stock, just call your local Honda shop ask for the parts desk, tell them what you want. They will help you get the right carb parts. without vacuume gauges you might just pay for the work to be done,
