Hello make sure you have gas in the tank you may be low.
try this unless you already have. turn you fuel valve to primary and try again to star the bike.
the other problem that happens is the fuel **** vacuum diaphragm may have a gone bad that is located in the body of the fuel petcock to check it unhook one of the fuel lines and replace it with a length of hose to a container to catch ant fuel then crank the engine it should flow is it does not remove the petcock and get a replacement diaphragm sizuki doe's not have it available but K & L has them available. hope this helps

When my car warms up it will not stay started it will die unless i keep my foot on the gas petal to prevent it from dying

Change the sir-filter and fuel-filter. Also clean out the air-filter box the filter sits in. If the problem persists, remove the air-intake duct that goes to the throttle body for obstructions. Also look at the air-horn and throttle-plate. Is there carbon in the air-horn and throttle-plate? If so, carefully clean the airhorn and throttle-plate with a clean, dust-free rag sprayed with automotive solvent.

If you still have the pronlem, you might consider the engine temperature-senser.

What is causing my 97 mazda pickup to idle rough then die?

2 things could be happening. One, the maf, or map sensore is bad. If there is a check engine light on, have it checked out. Second, it could be the throtle position sensor. Or just crappy gas. Rule the gas out first before changeing sensores.

Cant get my 03 wideglide to idle at lower rpm, bike dies down when lowering idle screw

Hi Anonymous, and the usual suspects are:
1. Spark plugs in bad condition or partially fouled.
2. Spark plug cables in bad condition or leaking.
3. Spark plug gap to close or to wide.
4. Faulty ignition coil, module and or sensor.
5. Battery nearly discharged.
6. Damaged wire or loose connections at battery terminals especially the ground cable at BOTH ends, ignition coil, or plug between ignition sensor and module.
7. Intermittent short circuit due to damaged wire insulation.
8. Water or dirt in fuel system, carburetor or filter.
9. Fuel tank vent system plugged or carburetor vent line closed off.
10. Carburetor controls misadjusted.
11. Damaged carburetor or intake seals.
12. Loose or dirty ignition module connector at crankcase.
13. Faulty MAP, CKP, and or CMP sensors.
14. Incorrect valve timing.
15. Weak or broken valve springs.
16. Damage intake or exhaust valve.

Sounds like throttle position sensor to me. It will let engine go dead instead of maintaining an idle rpm. Try disconnecting battery, and after leaving disconnected for a couple of minutes, crank vehicle and maintain a steady rpm with gas pedal. Doesn't have to be revved up high just steady. Called relearning tps. Sensor might be bad but I would try this before buying a part first.

Engine starts and runs on idle for awhile but when you give the gas it dies down and quits. It does start back but will do the same thing.

Change your fuel filter

Sounds like it is plugged and not allowing enough fuel through to run at high RPM

The unit is lean. rebuild the carb with a carb kit and check your fuel lines. If they are brown or discolored or brittle they need to be replaced. carb kits run approx. 11 - 18 dollars from your local dealer.

Sounds like a Saturn engine that died at 57K miles when it dropped a rod cap while only starting the piece of junk.

I guess you will have to reset the air-mixture screws of the carburator/s.
Not bad if you check the condition of the spark plugs...if its ..'Whitish' means lean i.e. less gas in, Brownish...means ok, 'Blackish'...means too much gas in .....'rich'
In your bike's case you may find it 'whitish'.
Hope this helps !
