Question about 1978 Honda GL 1000 (K3)
Well at this point if you having a problem because the cable is connected i suggest you remove the starter and cable then work on getting the nut of on the work bench its only a small nut when you have it out on the work bench take a fine toothed hack saw and carefully cut almost through the nut then use a small chisel and small ball peen hammer to split it you dont want to damage the post if your going to rebuild it.
