Re: i need to reset the timing on my 93 oldsmobile
You must have an ignition distributor to be able to reset or change the engine timing. If you do have a coil pack then the engine timing is completely controlled by the computer and there is no timing adjustment.

hi to find this, locate the top hose on your radiator, follow that back to the engine/motor, there you will find a small housing, inside that will be your thermostat hope this helps thanks
call autozone find out the firing order.the coil is numbered.the firing is counted from left to right.(for ex. if your firing order is 316524) three would be on the left so you run that sparkplug wire to the number three on the coil, and so on.
For the 3.3L V6: Firing Order: 1-6-5-4-3-2 Cylinders:
........(back) 2.........4.........6 1.........3.........5
........(front) Ignition Coil Connections:
(back)
__
o <--1 o <--4
__
o <--5 o <--2
__
o <--3 o <--6
check your engine position sensors after you verify you have the plug wires in proper firing order. cam and crank position sensors play critical roles in todays electronic ignition vehicles.
