Check the Exhaust Valve actuating rod is firmly in it's bush and the actuating arm is screwed to the valve actuator...the diagram on this link below refers.

Have you looked closely for air leaks between carby and engine, airbox obstructions or wrong sized pilot jet? Choke plunger thread not loose allowing extra fuel to surge through? Try turning air mixture screw IN half turn. The site below has the complete bike in exploded diagrams. Hope this all helps, good luck.
Cheers.

1994 nissan cefiro how to tune engine wont idle engine runs ok when revs are up

could be a number of things so i'd start with a few basic checks , make sure the air intake pipes are in good condition and securely fitted and the air filter is clean, the vacuum hoses also need to be checked for condition and make sure they are pushed onto their connection as these can easily pop off, crank case vent to air filter/rocker covers must be clear remove and check as should have a wire filter that may be getting clogged with oil deposits etc ,if these are ok then i'd look at the fuel lines but would have noticed a leak by now,try a fuel addative as might just be a carbon build up somewhere along the combustion /exhaust process , follow the instructions carefully , i've found that when using these addatives it's a good idea, if possible, to go for a long drive maybe 100 miles at a highish speed so everything can get to the correct operating temp , is car mainly stop/start use keep me posted if you wish

Idle problem integra

check the MAP sensor (manifold absolute pressure). The ECM (car computer) uses that to keep idle at minimum 750 RPM. It's normal for it to run high when cold. These small 4 banger motors typically run hot, and they won't run right IF they're NOT running hot, ergo the idle is usually high when it is cold so as to cause it to warm up quicker. If the RPM's drop below 750, suspect the MAP sensor, &/or ECM.

Hi Fareseedjr, high idle on fuel injected models can be casued by a faulty IAC valve located on the top front of the induction module. It has either failed electronically and needs to be replaced or mechanically getting gummed by contaminated engine blow by. You can try cleaning the unit by removing the air cleaner and backing plate, unplug, unscrew and remove the IAC. Using carb cleaner and " LOW " volume compressed air to clean the metal pintle and shaft that is spring loaded and has an operating length of just under 1 inch. Aventurous souls who did not heed the low air warning have launched pintle and spring into parts unknown. There is no guarantee this will work but worth a try since a new one is $50 Good luck

Try cleaning the throttle valve and the idle speed control valve. Use CRC brand spray throttle valve cleaner, about half the car will do it. Spray it into the engine intake while it running hold the idle up or it will stall out. After you have done this the idle problems should improve.

Vmax will start and barely run only under full choke

If it can idle then still hope to help out else need to rebuild/clean carb out (cost a lot). If can idle then get yourself 2 bottles of fuel injector cleaners, pour 30ml to 5L fuel, let engine idle for 15 minutes, give some spur high3000 - 5000 RPM revs followed by a constant 3500 RPM rev for 15 sec then repeat process again another 3 times. Ride itnormally as if you are breaking it in until next time refuelling, add another 30ml and do the same process before riding it again. Do the same thing for the next 500 km.

there are a couple of things to look at. first take a look at the tempature controll sensor, its on the right side of the block. It kinda looks like a spark plug sticking out the side of the block. If its cracked or broken then it will mess with your idle. Also you should be checking your throtle body control censor and your throtle body. clean everything out. also the BWD Ignition Module/Control Unit. If its cracked it will cause this exact problem. I would also add a general tune up with spark plugs and wires. If you follow these directions I think you will be good, if this does not work let me know, I can give more info once I have a better idea.
