Speedometer ot woking

It has a Vehicle Speed Sensor on the transmission that has three wires going to it. I would make sure it is plugged in good. Do you have a CEL, and if so, have you had the codes read?

BusEr code came up won't start?

BUS ER = 1 Serial data bus shorted low/open/high
DTC U1300, U1301 OR BUS ER:
U1300 = Serial data low
U1301 = Serial data open/high
Serial Data Low or Serial Data Open/High.The typical serial data voltage range is 0 volts (inactive) to 7 volts (active). Due to the short pulse, voltages will be much lower on a DVOM. In analog mode, a DVOM reading serial data will show continuous voltage when active,
typically 0.6-0.8 volts. The range for acceptable operations is
0-7.0 volts.

If serial data is shorted, these Diagnostic Trouble Codes
(DTCs) will automatically cause the check engine lamp to
illuminate. The odometer will read "Bus Er" in this condition.
• DTCs P1009 and P1010 may accompany DTCs U1300
and U1301.
CHECK FOR FURTHER DTCs SET For further diagnosis one needs to know if the bike starts then stalls.

Speedo fuse ????

post series LC ?
post country
?, and engine size.?
then post, symptoms./??
speedo does what exactly
and odometer , yes they are related.
my wild guess, is this car has advanced cluster design.
all 100% electronic with "CAN-BUS" controls.
so in most cases of that if ONLY speedo is dead, then it is.
if VSS is dead, scan the cars PCM, if mph vss is flat lined
the Speedo and the odometer goes dead.
the VSS is what increments the odometer. (like a clock)

2005 ultra classic.when i turn the key on,the odometer says bus er.engine will start and run for a few seconds and then stop.

Maybe a bad ground Batt to the frame, often the nut that hold the ground cable is rusted., you have to remove the nut and scrape the area that hold this nut ans cable

My 05 Ultra Classic keeps displaying "tip" on the

it means your bike was tipped over. It should reset after a short while. Unfortunately I know this from experience.

I have a 1997 Electra Glide and the speedo cable went bad, I replaced it,speedo worked good for about 3 weeks, now the speedo has gone crazy and I get bad readings( odometer still works)!

Did you lubricate the cable prior to putting on? The cables come from the factory with a bit of lubrication on them but I've seen this too many times. After a few weeks, the cable goes bad and breaks or you erronous reading. I'm not sure but what I think happens is the cable "winds up" and then breaks free. This gives the erronous reads. Take the cable back off, pull it out of the housing and lubricate it with some grease. Just put the grease in your hand and pull the cable through it. Inspect it for damage.

Good luck
Steve

Odometer/Trip Meter Not Owkring

it's most likely the cluster if one function works and the other doesn't. And, you likely have an electronic vehicle speed sensor that sends a signal to your analog cluster that then dispays your speed and odometer.
