How do I check the spark plug wires on a 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix 33? Point one leader V6.

To check the spark plug wires on your 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.3L V6, you can follow these steps:
  1. Locate the spark plug wires on the engine. They are usually connected to the spark plugs on the top of the engine and the ignition coil on the side of the engine.
  2. Inspect the wires for any visible damage, such as cracks or cuts. Also, check the connections at the spark plugs and the ignition coil for any signs of corrosion or looseness.
  3. Use a spark plug wire tester to check the wires for proper resistance. You can purchase a tester at an auto parts store. Follow the instructions provided with the tester to check each wire.
  4. If a wire fails the resistance test, replace it with a new wire. Be sure to replace each wire one at a time to avoid mixing up the order.
  5. After replacing the wires, try starting the engine again to see if the problem has been resolved.
If the problem persists after checking and replacing the spark plug wires, there may be other issues causing the engine to not start, such as a faulty ignition coil or fuel system components. In that case, it may be necessary to take the vehicle to a mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.

Homelite hgn 0960a generator wont start no spark

Change Spark Plug. Check The starting Switch with a Multitester if it have continuity.Start it again and check Spark with the spak plug unplugged and with the crankcase check the spark.
Check the oil level. almost all the new and modern generators have included an oil alert gadget that cut off for saving the engine.check oil level and refill if it need.start it again.

Will start but wont run

get a spark tester ,this is only a basic test .check the coil for a spark if found remove the lead from the spark plug. plug in the tester. turn the engine over to test for a spark each time. if no spark found check and clean the contacts in your distributor cap and rotor arm then refit test for a spark. at the lead to the spark plug .if found now remove your plugs one at a time .smell for fuel .if found change the plugs.

Engine will cut out then later start again my 1999 accent cuts out and then starts again after a while. No sparks to the plugs.. Very annoying and no mechanic has yet found problem.

What have any mechanics done?
Do you have an aftermarket alarm? If so, does it disable the ignition? I have seen many, Many, aftermarket alarms go bad and give an intermitent problem.
Has anyone replaced or tested an ignition module? Auto zones can test modules for free.

Hi, I am riding a Honda Phantom 150. My bike gets stalled whenever I ride for about half an hour. Once it is stalled, it cannot be started again. However, after about 10 minutes of cooling down. The bike...

It could be electrical. Take a 12volt bulb on flexible wires. When the engine cuts out, check you have power to the ignition system.
That may either sort it or relove that from the equasion.

Hot chain saw wont start

When it won't start, remove the spark plug, lay the base on engine metal with the wire on, and pull through. The spark should be blue and snappy. If nothing, try a fresh plug. If still nothing, the ignition module may be failing with heat. Try blowing out sawdust from the engine and case with compressed air to improve cooling. Does the engine 4-stroke when not cutting, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting? Check the air cleaner and muffler for plugging. Make sure the carburetor fasteners are tight. Hope some of this helps!

2004 Malibu Classic 2.2L died and won't start

You need 3 basic principles for your vehicle to start fuel/air, timing and spark. You stated it seems like there is no ignition at all. First, I would pull the easiest spark plug attach the plug wire and set it on the manifold and have someone crank your vehicle with you watching the plug to check for a spark you should have a white/blue spark which denotes a high voltage. Next i'd check for fuel pressure, if you have both i would get a obd (on board diagnostic)scanner and check for trouble codes with koeo (key on engine off) if that doesn't produce any codes check your fuses and most importantly if your oil level on the dipstick was dry its going somewhere whether its a leaking gasket a crack in the engine or blow by figure out where

Galant Special Edition 1994 Motor does not start

this maybe caused by no fuel or faulty fuel pump, ignition coil, wire and plug crank position sensor. first check for spark by removing on spark plug wire and put a spark plug in the spark plug wire boot, donot touch the plug only the boot have someone crank the car over. if you see spark, that part of the ignition is good. if not, check the coil resistance if should 40 to 80 ohm with a volt meter pf not replace. if ok, but no spark check the igniton control madule make sure the coil and module are receiving current. if not check the fuse that feels them. if it is ok, check distributor cap and rotor. if rotor and cap are fine, check for fuel at either the fuel filter, the fuel return line or removing some spark plug and see if they are wet. if there is no fuel check the fuel pump and the fuse and relay that control the pump. if there is fuel with high pressure but there is no spark, check the crank sensor for signal with a volt meter while cranking the vehicle
