Sounds like you have to clean out the carbys. you should be able to at least drain them without taking them apart.

2003 honda 750 shadow spirit wont stay running. choke is open it kicks over but the minute you give it some gas it dies...changed out the filter and fuel in tank still no luck. Bike has been sitting for...

Run some carburetor cleaner through the system to remove any dirt which may be interfering with the carb diapharms............Let idle for 15 to 20 min before trying acceleration.........Hope this helps you out.

My 1993 Honda Knighthawk wont run.

The slow circuit of your carbs are dirty. you need to remove the carbs from the bike and thoroughly clean the internal passageways and jets. that should solve the problem. Always drain your carbs for storage and use fresh gas when you start up after long storage.

It will turn over but it want start up

Spray some starting fluid in the air box and try to start it.
If it starts to run it is fuel related.change the gas in the tank and clean the carbs.Always add stable to your gas every tank full. It will coat the inside of the carbs and help to stop gumming.

1991 Honda 750 Nighthawk...been running great. Hadn't ridden it much last 30 days or so...got on it tonight, noticed a sluggish throttle. Initially, there was slight black smoke coming from the exhaust....

carb. needs to be rebuilt sounds like trash in the float body or in the needles try using some sea foam in the gas tank (if u get it to start again) it has probably fouled out the plugs

My wife has a 750 honda shadow spirit 2003 dc that is leaking gas at the boot that fits from the bottom of the carb. to the front cylindar what is causing it and how do i fix it

This sounds to me like a carb float being stuck open. Turn off the gas and drain the offending carb(s). Next, turn the gas back on and sharply tap the float bowl with the plastic handle of a screwdriver as the fuel bowl refills. The goal here is to vibrate the float to free it up. If doing this process a couple of times does not free the float I would remove the carb(s) and clean with a spray carb cleaner. Clean the air filter then re-mount carb(s). Next Remove the water trap bowl at the bottom of the petcock, (gas valve). Dump it, clean it and re-mount it, ( not all bikes have a water trap bowl ). Install an inline fuel filter.

THis should solve the problem.
