After riding without any problems for about 45 minutes and I switch off the engine, after a pause of about 5 minutes the bike refuses to start. The starter works well, but there seems to be no ignition. ...

well there could be a few diffrent things going on here. i would look into you coil and fuel pump, your model may not have a fuel pump on it if it does most likey a vacuum pump. in sure that all your hose are not cracked and in good shape. Coils can go out and it sounds like thats whats going on here. electricity cause heat, heat cause resistances, which causes more heat and so forth, as you run your bike the coil gets hot and may be braking down on the inside of coil where you cant see anything wrong. if you have any questions please feel free to contact me

I have a 2004 kx250f. The first ride of the year I noticed my bike bogged in the air and a little when I landed. When I get on the gas hard I dont feel it. Whats going on?

If the bike sat up for the winter, it's a real possibility the carb jets and fuel passages are gummed up. If this is the case, I recommend 1/4 to 1/2 can of SeaFoam added to your fuel. Lock down the front brake and rock the bike back and forth to mix the additive with the gas. Crank the bike and run at high idle for a few minutes, and since it is rideable, ride like you normally do and see if it gets more responsive after an hour or so.

My bike backfires bad but it idles perfect and the pipe gets real hot fast

Could be you have air leaks in the intake manifold connections causing a lean burn situation, which can cause loud noises from the exhaust, fireing back through the carb/injectors, and the pipe and engine to get extremely ho
with engine running, spray carb cleaner over and around the intake connections. If you hear the engine change tone or smooth out in it's running, you have found the leak. Fix the leak and the other problems could go away. If the bike has been setting for a length of time, your jets and passages could be gummed and needing a cleaning. If there is a possibility of gummed jets, pour 1/4 to 1/2 can of SeaFoam into the gas tank, lock down the front brake and rock the bike back and forth to mix the gas and SeaFoam. Start the bike and run at a high idle for a few minutes. Shut it down and let it cool, then do it again. If it is gummed or dirty jets, they should start to clean up shortly.

2000 yamaha r6 when the bike gets hot the engine shuts down

Hi, Garywabel and the usual suspects are:
1. Engine oil level and SAE weight are too low or not circulating.
2. Insufficient or blocked air flow over the engine.
3. Heavy combustion chamber carbon deposits.
4. Ignition timing retarded due to faulty MAP, CKP, or CMP sensor.
5. Carburetor jetted too lean.
6. Leaking intake or exhaust valve.
7. Water coolant old or low change every two years.
8. Water pump failure.
9. Radiator clogged, cap loose or malfunctioning.
10. Radiator fans not coming on.
11. Clutch slipping, brakes dragging, heavy load, towing a trailer etc.
12. Idling too long without moving.
13. For constant hot weather temperatures, mountain, or desert riding conditions consider adding an oil cooler and or cylinder head cooler.

I don't understand how this bracket gets mounted to the bike

I the idea is that you attache the "permanent" half of the bracket to the bike frames "down tube" below the seat. Then pop part of the lock containing the lock barrel into the other half of the bracket so it its inside the frame and wont hit your legs when your riding.

2007 KXF 250 electrical problem

when the ignition parts like the coil and the transistors in the cdi unit gets warmed up they dont work as well as when there cool,,,so a problem thats not there when cold will be there when its hot,,,,if the stator has a small fault in it when cold when it gets hot it turns into a big fault! the best way to find this fault is by swoping one part at a time till you fine the faulty part,,,or put it into the bike shop and pay through the knows for the fix? have you a friend with the same type of bike you could swop the parts with??? it a big big help if you have! i would start with the coil then the cdi unit,,,there the most likley parts to play up when they get to hot they go faulty!

i have had somebody with the same problem on a different bike, and he had rebuilt the master cylinder and he had put a seal in the wrong way round / upside down and that had caused his brakes to lock up solid maybe check you master cylinder ,make sure all seals etc are in correct.
