Hey i have a 2003 Honda cr125r 2 stroke. and i was riding it around today and after about 4-5 minutes it would just die on me no matter what speed i was going. and it would start up just fine but keep doing the same thing. we changed the air filter, air mixture and we also changed the spark plug. so if i could get some help on what to do that would be great.

2009 Honda hornet runs for ten minutes then speed +rev counter, odometer and fuel gauge goes blank.

Hi, Alan if some or all of your instrument cluster goes dark/blank immediately upon startup or a few minutes later riding down the road the usual suspects are:
1. Blown instrument fuse.
2. A bad ground in the instrument circuit.
3. Faulty wiring before or after the fuse.
4. Faulty wiring or connector between the fuse and the instrument cluster.

Why does my Motor starts but does not go wen I give it throttle

What sort of motor is it? A two stroke or four stroke?
If it is a four stroke it could be a number of reasons why it doesn't go when you give it throttle. It's difficult to help you if you're not providing lots of details. Is the motor by itself or is it a ride-on lawn mower? Usually something like your problem is the result of lack of sump oil and or the timing is incorrect, therefore it can backfire. If it is a two stroke then the carburettor is probably clogged and cannot provide fuel at high revs but just manages to run at low revs.

Location of oil filter and what kinda of oil on a 2003 Honda CR125R 2-stroke

G'day.
There is no oil filter in a two stroke. Your bike has two types of oil for the engine.

In the gearbox, it uses a light viscosity 2 stroke motorcycle gearbox oil.

Then you have the oil that you pre-mix with your fuel(to lubricate the top-end & crankshaft bearings).

Oil for your bike is best purchased from a motorcycle shop- this is a racing bike that requires race type maintainance.
The better the maintainance the longer it will last.
Things like,
Keep the chain lubricated.
Keep the air filter clean & oiled correctly with propper air filter oil(this is REALLY important).
Use high octaine fuel-(if in Australia like me-no ethanol fuel- 98 octaine).
Use the best quality 2 stroke oil you can afford-preferably full-synthetic.
Here is a link to parts fishes(exploded diagrams) for your bike.
These will help you see all the parts & gives a good idea on what goes where.Click on the part name & it will show you a picture. : )

What other year cylinder head will fit a honda cr 2003 125

I searched for this and found that no other machine has this cylinder head, and that it appears as though there were 2 versions of the same head made for that year. My link below is for Bikebandit. I did a couple of searches for other machines that may fit this and found none. Good luck on fixing your bike.

What oil to fule ratio must be used on my 2003 honda cr125r

32 to 1. That equals 4 ounces of two stroke engine oil to one gallon of gas. DO NOT use motor oil. Only use two stroke engine oil.
