I my advice to you is that everytime before you ride a bike you perform a service check..there have been many times that i have had seat bols vibrate loose the brake handle nut was hanging on by a thread when i checked before one ride and the rear caliper bolts vibrated loose once and the chain backup up locking nuts vibrated off. believe me it will never ever happen to me again because i spent two days at my work going out to the parking lot and little by little took axle pinch bolts main rear axle nuts adjustment nuts seat bolt nut oil drain nut oil filled dip stick radiator cap, and lockwired all the hose clamps ( because i race and this is a requirement) but im glad they made me do it...because now by just a glance you look and see wire and that means theyre tight no question about it. you dont have to hope they're tight. after sixteen (k) miles, change the plugs and air filter, and oil and filter and check wheel bearings for any play and check for proper tire wear and inflation. Might want to spray some throttle body on the carbs also.

Is ir normal to replace rear brakes on a 2010 mercury milan with only 22,300 miles? 15-16,000 of the miles are highway miles

The rear brakes should last 70,000 miles, if
you disassemble,clean & lube once a year,
on the rear of most all cars

My question is --- have you not had years or decades
of experience with other vehicles?
If so, why would you ask that question?

My 2000 T 4Runner has 200,000 miles on it. Should I start looking for a newer one? It still runs very well, although it's had a few problems. Is $16,000 a good price for 2004 4Runner V8 with 90,000 miles...

It is really your choice but your 4Runner is capable of allot more miles with good maintenance. If your looking to save money the V8 4Runner in not a good option.

Maintenance costs for a Honda Silver Wing 8,000 mile service

Hi, Dnoss57 did you get ripped off morally yes legally no the guy in the first link paid $550 do yourself a favor and buy a few hand tools and do the work yourself if your drive belt looks in good shape run it. Drive belts are tough and can last way past 16000 miles with proper care, for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the best tool you ever bought for your Honda, despair not, for a mere $25 you can download another one. For more information about your issue and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the blue links below. Good luck and have a wonderful day.

Hi, I am thinking of buying a 2000 Buick LeSabre. The car was brand new when purchased, then the owner passed away in 2005. The car has been in a garage since then and has not been driven. It looks in very...

mybe nothing, you could replace oil & filter, gas if you can, as gas gets old setting that long, check to see if it had antifreez, and replace. with only 16,000 miles and in a grage tires and hoses should still be ok. look to see if there apears to be any cracks, also the belts.

Need to change radiator coolant

CLICK HERE for your maintenence guide
CLICK HERE for your owner's manual

Starting on Page 162, the guide states that you have regular coolant, unless it is orange in color. While this IS an extended life coolant, it is not intended to be in servece for the LIFETIME of the vehicle.

HERE, you will find information about the different coolants used in FORD vehicles.

Hyundai Accent 2000 When clutch is depressed gears crunchy.

how many miles have you driven the car sence it came out of storage? you said it sat for 6 years it could be rust on fly wheel or pressure plate, that would make it shift like you said, because the clutch plate is either sticking to the fly wheel or pressure plate. when it shifts hard that means the clutch is not releacing all the way most likely because of the rust. i would just drive it and see if it comes out of it. it shoud not take long maybe 50 to 100 miles more or less. also i would chg. trans oil, setting that long moisture could have got in there, you know what they say about oil and water. also if it has a cable for clutch chk. see if it's hanging up to. setting that long rust becomes a big factor. hope this helps.
