We bought a new one about a month ago, and the sales rep was very unhelpful in telling us how long to charge it for, so we just do it for 10 hours, our little man get's a couple of days ride out of it, between 4-5 hours ride time all up, hope this has helped?...

Bag Boy Navigator Elite Electric Golf Push Cart. Bought 20 year old Bag Boy Navigator Elite. Needs battery.

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from Computers and Internet. Magic word is 'Golf'

Yes according to this it takes a 24 volt Lithium battery. Fortunately putting a 12 volt battery in won't have damaged it where as 24 volts into a 12 volt system will.

Take it to your local golf retailer and they will know someone that can diagnose and repair the electronics.

I presume you checked the battery had a full charge.

The reviews on it are good

Need the charging diagram for the Craftsman C3 Lithium Ion battery want to charge it with a regular 12 volt charger.

No way! Lithium Ion batteries require special chargers to prevent fire. They are very unstable and if they break down internally, they self combust. You can't even use a Nickel Metal Hydride battery charger with them. And it is a 19.2 volt battery, which won't charge with a 12 volt charger. Use the Craftsman charger specially made for those batteries.

Yamaha 450 Kodiak battery not charging, new battery, volt meter not showing any voltage going to the battery

Hi Brian, get a digital volt meter and start the ATV measure the voltage at the battery or at the alternator it should read around 14 volts when charging, if it reads 12 volts the charging system is not working, check or a blown fuse or broken wire, if you can access the alternator directly measure at that point. It takes 14 volt output from the alternator to charge a 12 volt battery

How do you charge the 12 volt battery with a 6 volt charger

  • A 6 Volt charger will charge a 12 Volt battery, it will just take twice the time to get the 12 Volt battery to full charge as a 12 Volt charger would take. V*I=W. It will take up to 36 hours to get a full charge from near dead but it will work just fine.

24 volt charging problems .2 12 volt batteries 1 battery 16volts and the other about 9-10 volts

A 12 volt battery is actually 13.2 volts fully charged. If you are reading 16 volts, you are probably getting extranious voltage from the system somewhere, especially if the vehicle is running when you check the voltage. The alternator will put out about 15-18 volts to charge the battery normally, and yours may put out 28-32 volts to charge them in series, but the batteries, when disconnected, should never read more than about 13.2 volts each. Typically, it will read about 12 1/2 volts when disconnected. COMPLETELY DISCONNECT BOTH OF THE BATTERIES. If you still read 16 volts when it is disconnected, you must have a bad meter because the battery can't produce that much voltage, no matter what. (Six 2.2 volt cells connected in series inside the case.) Put the meter on a known good battery on another car that is not running and see if you get the same reading. It sounds like the other battery is almost dead, regardless, and it sounds like your series/parallel switch may be malfunctioning. (That is the switch that puts the battery in series to run the 24 volt starter, then puts the batteries in parallel to run the remainder of the vehicle on 12 volts. This is all assuming that you have a diesel vehicle with a 24 volt starter and that is why you have two batteries.
