Vibration present with clutch pulled in at idle rolling down a steep hill and leaning her hard to the left. Basically removing engine vibration from the equation.

Hello,

Thanks for using FixYa.

You might be having an engine issue. The camshaft bearing might be loose already. Try reving the engine with the bike leaning left. You will notice that you don't even have to ride the bike to be able to reproduce the vibration problem.

I hope this helps. Thanks and good day.

Hi, Armand for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Yamaha, despair not, for a mere zero $ you can download another one. What octane level of gas should I use for a 2003 Honda Shadow ACE

Usually premium (92 octane). That's what the bikes are designed to run on. Sometimes you can get away with using 89 octane. But try your best to never use 87 octane fuel, unless you're stuck somewhere and that's all you have available to you.

Should I adjust my valves? 1999 Honda Shadow Ace.

Well if its running good and you don't here any out of the ordinary rattling I wouldn't worry about it until at least 25,000-30,000 miles on the bike so probabley in another 10,000 miles or so have the valves adjusted unless you hear any unordinary rattling noises sooner then go in at that point and have them adjusted.

2006 HONDA SHADOW SABRE - front brake is making a slight grinding sound anytime the bike leans left. No problems going straight or leaning right. Thoughts?

  • Wheel bearings going bad
  • Axle and or bearings need grease
  • Loose nut on the axle
  • Caliper not bolted on tight
  • Rotor mounting bolts not tight
Can I get a “very helpful” rating on this answer?

1997 Shadow ACE VT1100C2 stops on me periodically

Best way to get one of those apart is to cut the wires on each side and replace the plug.
Try replacing the fuel filter too.
Coils will do stuff like that too.
