Get a can of starter fluid and a helper. Start the weed eater and then squirt enough starter fluid into the air intake to keep it running while you move it through the settings. This will rid your tool of the crud that is causing your problem. Joe

My toro weed eater starts but will not stay running.

Chek/change the fuel filter, clean the carburetor and adjust if necessary. Do you have fresh gas? Have the correct mixture of 2 cycle oil and gas?

Why won't my FeatherLite FL-20C weed eater will not stay running when I put it in full choke. What could be wrong?

It should run ok after warming up. After starting it, let it run for a minute or so and then try gradually opening the choke. You might try increasing the throttle setting at the same time. After the motor is hot, if you have to have the throttle setting increased in order to keep it running it means the idle setting needs to be increased, usually by turning a screw to keep the fuel valve from closing so much, or that there is a problem with the fuel flow......like a clogged jet or fuel passage in the carb.

Then adjust the top screw till it stays running when going to high speed abruptly.

My toro weed trimmer starts good runs great for a few minutes then starts to bogg out then dies, will start back up but won't stay running.i already replaced the fuel tank, lines and filter.

Check the air filter isn't dirty.
If the machine runs ok on high speed but cuts out while idling, the idle speed may be too low. There is usually an adustment screw for increasing the speed.
If the fuel line is a flexible type which moves around inside the tank, check it is able to move freely because if you are cutting at awkward angles, the end of the line can end end up above the surface of the fuel, **** in air and airlock the line. You can eliminate this as the problem by fully filling the tank.
Check whether there is a one way check valve on the tank. This vents air into the tank as the fuel leaves for the carburettor. Sometimes particles of dirt can get stuck in this.
