Question about 1995 Yamaha Xv 250 Virago S
Three days ago when I pulled up at the traffic lights the bike conked out. I hit the starter switch, the engine didn't turn over. The starter stopped clicking (went silent) proving the battery was dead. After a couple of days I replaced the battery. Perfect.......but then, after a full day of riding the engine stated to lag (no power) ultimately causing the engine to conk. Now, again I hit the starter switch, but this time it clicks solid (battery is fully charged). Is it the solenoid? That would explain the engine not turning over. But what would cause the engine to conk out with a charged battery and a hot engine?
I had a very similar problem when I first got my XV250. The problem was it ran out of fuel. Fail. It only has a range of around 60 miles.
