Any decent v-twin oil in the 10W40 range will do; this has been argued ad infinitum on many a forum! Many of us use Shell's Rotella diesel 15W40 or the synthetic 5W40. Make sure that any automotive oil does not thave the "energy-saving" banner on the label where the ratings are, this will cause cluch slippage. If you change the filter, the capacity is 3.6 quarts.

Available oil filters, according to the Volusia Riders forum:
* AMSOil SMF 109
* Bike Master 314-0025
* Champion PH7016
* Cycle Power 314-1919
* Emgo 10-55662
* Emgo 10-55660
* Fram PH6018
* Hi-Flo HF138
* J.C.Whitney ZX063166P
* K&N 138
* NAPA 1359 / WIX 51359
* NAPA PS7937
* Parts Unlimited
* Per-Form J-509
* ProPart 01-0029
* Purolator ML16818
* STP SMO-18
* Suzuki 16510-03G00-X07
* VESRAH vsf-3009
I myself use the Wix, it is one of the most highly rated, and I can trade my homemade beef jeky for them at our local auto parts!

How much oil does a gsxr 1300 take during oil and filter change

The book calls for 3.7 or 3.8 qts with a filter change, but it will take 4 qts. The bike needs to be level front to back and side to side when you check the level. If you do it on a rear stand only it will show low and you will end up over filling it

How many quarts of oil and type does the alero take?

5 W 30 for the oil and the 2.2 Ecotec engine takes 5.8 qts and the V6 3400 takes 4.5 qts as far as the oil filter also depends on the engine. the 2.2 takes a paper element. look to the right of the engine and you'll see a black round canister with a hex looking nut attached to the top. I belive it's 32mm. use an extension but be careful putting it back on because the cap is just plastic Do not overtightnen! just snug it up firmly

2006 Triumph Sprint St

hey pal! Go to your favorite Motorcycle parts store (Cycle Gear etc) and buy 4 Qts of Castrol Syntec 10-30 or 10-40 wt. If you bike has a centerstand put in on center. Look carefully on both sides of bike engine for a small siteglass to check oil level..if you have a dipstick forget about the siteglass.Your bike will take between 3 &4 qts and we will start by putting 3 in the crankcase after we have put drainplug back in and installed new filter ok? Then start motor for 1 minute letting the oil pump into the new filter. shut bike off and check oil off as needed...Good Luck to you !....Tim

Craftsman II mowre oil capacity and filter type

The outstanding Briggs opposed twin engines have an oil capacity of 1.5 qts. The recommended oil is 10w30 full synthetic and 50 hour change intervals. Some engines were equipped with an oil filter, if so, the capacity is 1.7 qts. fantastic engines, take care of it.
