SOURCE: Front wheel bearing removal.

The bearings get punched out of the hub evenly. Just take a small to medium sized hammer and a large punch and drive the old bearings outward from the center of the hub. Install the new bearings somewhat more gently than the old ones came out. The bearings must go into the hub straight. Tap them in with a plastic hammer. Once the bearing is started, place the old bearing on top of the new one and strike around the outer rim of the old bearing to seat the new bearing.

Go to this site to download a free PDF service manual. Your bike is on the list of manuals. See page 71.

Are the front (wheel) bearings sealed?

Front wheel bearings on larger older rear wheel drive cars are very rarely sealed.
Repacking the bearings is a regular maintenance procedure.
I've checked a few youtube videos and here's a Good one that describes the process.

Need to re4eplace outer wheel bearing

If this is a 2 wheel drive it is fairly simple. The bearing has a matching part called a "race". If the race is smooth it can remain in the hub. You just pack the new bearing by scooping grease in the palm of your hand and fill the new bearing. Then install, tighten and follow foot-lb. guidelines or back off slightly and install keeper nut and pin.

If the race is bad you can take it to an autoparts store and they may be able to change it for you. Or you knock it out with a piece of wood and then install the new race with a racetool or appropriate socket.

Front wheel bearing nut keeps comming loose

you need to inspect for burning and wear. the bearings and races may have to be replaced. if all is good then apply a light coat of lock tight(medium grade/blue). this is not common place to add lock tight so please dont think this is normal. i would think the bearings are the likely issue. you dont need to get these from kia. a quality replacement will get the job done. be sure to use a good quality wheel bearing grease. cheers

I have 1996 316i coupe with 140000 miles on the clock, when i brake when slowing the car down the steering wheel starts shaking pretty bad, what could the problem be, would be much obliged if u could help,...

The problem is most likely the warping/runnout on the front brake discs.
At 140,000 mileage the disc rotors would be getting a bit thin and need replacing.
Check front wheel bearings while your there.

Humming sound from the rear when I go over 60mph

from your symptoms of noise from rear ? i would say your suspision is correct it is probably one of hub bearings in the early stage of wear/burning out front wheels chocked raise each rear wheel in turn and with park brake off check for undue movement /rock in wheel/s and any noise when you spin ? if oone shows to be suspect ? advise you replace both sides ? this is not too expensive a repair and can be diy if you have tools and confidence? bearings come as a kit for each wheel/hub if you have time you will save $$$$$ in garage cost? hope this helps/inspires you best wishes from uk
