Question about 2002 Harley Davidson FLSTF - FLSTFI Fat Boy
Can't find where the pink wire is supposed to go when adding a speedo/tach to a 2002 Harley Fatboy. Stock has a speedo only. Supposed to be plug and play but that's not happening. No luck in the headlamp. Maybe I'm supposed to pull one of those plastic pins out of the multi-pin plug that goes into the tach. Doesn't give adequate details in the weak instructions that came with the tach.
The Tachometer is tied into the ignition circuit. The pink wire goes to one side of the coil. If there is a plug on the coil, remove the plug and see if there is an empty pin slot in the plug that might match something in your directions. I do know that the pink wire is the "trigger" wire on all Sportsters but I've never installed a tachometer on a Softail. Good Luck, Steve
