Question about 1987 Yamaha YX 600 Radian
Neutral light won't come on at the end of 120 mile journey when it worked fine all the way - although I did have trouble locating neutral when I first picked up the bike on Saturday. Is it just a bulb? and if so, how do I fit it - haven't got a manual yet. Thanks, J
Hi and welcome to FixYa,
Initially, check the sky blue wire with a continuity tester. At neutral, this wire should read 0 ω to ground. If not, then neutral switch is faulty or there is a break in the wire going to the neutral switch.
With the ignition switch to ON and in any gear, this wire should read + 12. If not, then bulb is busted or brown wire going to instrumentation is not receiving IGN + 12.
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.
