No not really because you can easly damage something,if you have a spare crankshaft nut then undo the crank nut till its level with the end of the thread ,then using a piece of hardwood over the end give it a sharp knock with a big hammer ,if that doesnt shift it then get a puller sorry i couldnt be any more help but some of these things are not designed to be attacked by hairy backed idiots like myself

65 hp evinrude removal of flywheel

Remove the Flywheel nut, Get a steering wheel puller or a harmonic balancer puller that has a pin in the bottom. ( I have both and the official OMC one the OMC is the best) . Get the proper length bolts and make sure they go far enough into the flywheel to engage all the threads but not too far as to damage the coils. Make sure they are screwed in evenly. Then tighten the puller while holding the flywheel ( you can use a screwdriver by the starter or a flywheel holder)and when it feels tight hit the top of the tightening bolt (This is the one in the center of the puller with a hammer. that will "pop" the flywheel. if it doesn't come tighten more and hit it again. The shock of the hammer will pop it off. If you don't shock it, it may not pop off the taper.

Here is a picture of the OMC puller and a Steering wheel puller the OMC is the black one.
Here is the proper bolt. Official OMC tool bolt

Notice the thread length is limited as this is a shoulder bolt made especially for pulling OMC flywheels. That prevents them from screwing in too far and helps keep them even.

How to remove fly wheel on 2strok xl suzki m120x 160397

Once you remove the recoil starter and the engine cover remove three bolts holding the starter cup. Loosen and remove the main flywheel nut.

Now using a harmonic balancer puller thread three equal length bolts through the puller slots into where the starter cup bolts were. Now tighten up the puller's center bolt to put tension on the flywheel. Once good tension is on the setup take a brass hammer and tap the center bolt of the puller. This should loosen the flywheel. You may need to retension the puller a time or two to get the flywheel to break free.

How many bolt holes are in the flywheel? Mostly 3 holes plus the one in the centre.I used a steering wheel puller and I removed the centre nut to the end of the threads then attached the puller the flywheel. Then proceeded to tighten the puller slowly till the flywheel was loose. Then I removed the puller also removed the centre nut and proceeded to remove the flywheel.Hope this helps.I'm not much at explaining on computer but in person I show you faster. (1) BUT always remember to make the puller is square or level with the flywheel. So that way all 3 bolts are pulling the same time.(2) PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS!!!!...

How do I remove a flywheel from an echo pb-413t? I bought a flywheel puller but it still won't budge?

It was pretty hard to get a flywheel puller on there wasnt it?
Use a brass hammer and a large flathead screwdriver. being carefull not to pry on anything but the crankcase and flywheel insert the screwdriver under the flywheel. With the hammer tap on the short cooling fins (These are tougher than the longer ones- you dont want to break off any fins) while prying up on the flywheel with the screwdriver. A few taps and it should pop loose. It doesnt require a lot of force but you need to be decisive with your blows.

How do you remove a flywheel, 24-025-04-S, without a flywheel puller. I believe the stator shattered under the flywheel. i don't have a flywheel puller.

support engine weight below flywheel, with a center punch tap crank, after soaking with a penetrating oil.

What direction does the flywheel nut come off on a 1971 kawasaki 90cc?

Hi, kawasaki use a normal thread on the flywheel retaining nut , anti clockwise will undo the nut, once the nut is removed, you will need a flywheel puller, the thread within the flywheel for the puller, is a lefthand thread, if you dont have a puller, its the same one as suzuki 50, yamaha 50 and honda50 which can be bought realitivly cheap, always remove washer from flywheel when usin a puller to ensure it screws all the way home

How to remove flywheel on a model 80202?

The best thing to do for this info is get a service manual from you local library.

You need to first remove the blower housing/starter cover to expose the flywheel. Next you need to remove the coil, Next remove the flywheel nut using an impact wrench (or find something and someone to hold it while you remove the nut), Their is a puller for this job, you use two 5/16 bolts with a puller and an impact wrench again. Tighten the puller, then........take a hammer and smack it on the END of the puller while it is still tight. The flywheel will POP off the tapered shaft. dont loose the flywheel key, or just plan on replacing it.

To reinstall it DO NOT grease the tapered shaft ( to make it come off easier next time),Just place the flywheel on and resecure.

Hope this helps
