Question about 2001 kawasaki KLX 250

1 Answer

Hi, I have just purchased a 2009 KLX250s and find that it has will not go any higher than 6000rpm in 6th and only reaches 95-105km. I have been told that it needs derestricting, how can i tell if this has been done or not(have been told that it has)? What does derestriction involve? What other modifications can be done? Cheers

Hi, Anonymous for this scenario you will need your service manual that has all fastener torque specs and a wiring diagram on the back pages, parts fiche, and owners manual if you can't find the best tool you ever bought for your Kawasaki, despair not, for a mere zero $0 you can download another one.

We used to buy premix from the dealer, although now I just use a 50/50 mix of Halfords 500ML coolant and water.

I recently purchased a Hyundai Genesis 4.6 and I purchased somw extra rims for snow tires but they do not seem to fit. I think they came off a 3.8 Genesis but why would they rub against the brakes in...

If they're rubbing on the brakes, it's most likely because with your V8 model, the front brakes are larger than those on the V6 model (it's not uncommon to see this, due to the greater power of your engine and higher speeds the car can reach). A spacer really won't help, because it moves the wheel outward, where you need more clearance in the inside diameter of the wheel. You'll need to find larger wheels to fit your car.

you have to take time and check all your wires for breaks and to look for cutts in them.Check your handlebar swicthes .change your bulbs . Replace or ajest your brakelight swicth. You need to take off your carbs. and supmerge them in yamaha carb. cleaner in a deep pot. there cleaner does not hirt rubber.
