Hi! Have you checked the fuel? You may not have enough fuel to make it start. If you do, check the plug wires if its giving electric current to the plugs. If not, you may need to replace the plug wires and replacing the spark plug will be a great idea too. Hope this helps and have a good one!

Check your computer or your coil fuses to see if they were blown by the arcing.

The fuse block should be under your seat,If not check your owners manual or call your local dealer. It is almost impossible to keep up with all the fuse block locations anymore it seem like they build a bike and then whereever ther is room they stick the fuse block.

Sounds like you may have a computer or controller issue that may have been spiked when the arch occured I am sorry I can't be anymore assitance with out a manual and a flow chart to see if you are not getting spark or fuel delivery and track it down from there. GOOD LUCK.

My o4 volusia will not start it just turns over the battery is fine the oil light is on but it has oil

The oil light will come on until the bike starts.
Remove the air filter and spray a short shot of starter fluid into the intake.
Replace the filter and see if the bike will start.

Battery removel for a 2004 suzuki 800 intruder

I know for the models till 2002 where the battery is located in front of the rear wheel.

Place the bike on her side stand
remove the negative battery lead at the left side, just below the transmission tube ( cone ) 10mm socket wrench
On the right side remove the security cap on the positive lead ( cross screwdriver ), then remove the positive lead.
The battery is hold in place with a 'floor plate'. remove both bolts of the floorplate ( on each side ) while holding the palte into place.
gently lower the plate and the battery.

I hope the 2004 model has the same assembly!

Battery location for a 2004 suzuki intruder 800

Hi ...... Find where the battery is, under the seat or behind a side panel. Disconnect the black (negative lead usually with a 10mm spanner then disconect the red (positive) lead. The battery will be held in place with a 'rubber' strap or a bracket and depending on type of battery there may be a vent hose from the battery to the lower half of the bike, this just pulls off and remains in place until you replace the battery. Installation is reverse except you connect red (positive) first.
Let us know how you get on.
