Question about 2004 Harley Davidson XL 883 Sportster
2000 Harley Davidson spits and sputters. It will miss a lick sometimes at 70. It will miss more around 40 to 55. The bike is fuel injected.
Fuelies dont respond well to open drag pipes if you open the pipes the computer won't compensate for the loss of exhaust back pressure and it can run it to lean and burn up valves and plugs in a worse case senario

Unless an aftermarket device has been installed on your bike, you must take it to a dealer to get the fuel map reworked.
