How do i change the radiator fluid?

Most radiators have a drain plug on the bottom tank the engine block also has a drain plug . Remove the radiator cap ,open both drains ,let all the coolant run out, if there is no radiator plug remove the lower hose , remove the heater demister hoses, with the heater control on hot flush out all the coolant from the heater radiator. with a garden hose, till the water runs clean, tighten the radiator plug or re fit the hose,put a garden hose into the radiator and flush out till the water at the block plug runs clean ,refit the heater hoses, refit the block plug, fill the radiator from the hose leave the cap off , If it has a overflow tank clean and flush it. start and run engine for 5 minutes top up radiator if needed . stop engine and drain out all water. most important that all old coolant is drained out, only buy the best coolant you can . If you make up your own use only distilled water. keep some to top up with never mix with another brand. Fill radiator with coolant top up over flow tank, run engine top up coolant as needed, refit radiator cap run for another 10 minutes check for leaks,

How to change engine coolant

remove the drain plug at the bottom of the radiator . open heater control Find the drain plug in the side of the block and drain all water out . Flush out the system . Fill with water and run for several minutes then repeat the drain process.. Next mix up the required of water with the right amount of top quality of anti-freeze/anti-boil additive 50-50 and add to cooling system. let engine idle until the thermostat opens and you can feel hot water in the top hose . Add mixture until there is no more bubbles. Some engine may require a pressure bleed of the air from the system . Loosen of the highest fitting hose to help bleed out the air .

I till over my bike in some water. It did get some water in the engine what do?

DO not turn the engine over. Drain and replace all fluids, including the fuel. Replace air filter(s). Open almost everything and drain water. You can use air to help. Unplug all multi-plugs and completely dry with blown air.
Pull plugs and turn engine over. This will expel excess fluid. Put plugs back in. Start the unit. Run until quite warm, but do not ride it hard. Work out any misfiring.
Drain and replace all fluids, while still warm. Then run the unit again for longer than 20 minutes after fully warm.
Make note not to ride in water again.

I want to learn how to drain and flush my radiator. I need help on how to do so without making as mess

well its bound to make a little mess but you should have a drain plug on the radiator at the bottom towards the engine side on one of the 2 tanks (sides of radiator ) unscrew drain plug and let drain into a pail or pan ( 2 gallon ) after it drains remove lower radiator hose. use a garden hose and fill radiator and let it flush for a little, hook lower radiator hose back, tighten drain plug and fill with a 50/50 mix new antifreeze,

    Water in lower part of engine .is there a drain plug?

    should be a drain plug in the stern to drain water from the inside of your boat. If you mean that there is water in your engine it depends on where it is at. I am assuming this is an inboard/outboard motor and these motors cool by water in the manifold the water can be drained from the manifold ... you need to look for a plug on the lower side of the motor and open it up to drain it. Now if you think you have water in the actual motor itself you may have to take it in to a shop because it will rust up. There are some things that you can do to clean it up go to your local napa or auto parts store and inquire about what products will remove moisture from the engine there are additives that you can put in your gas tank to remove the H2O and also an addittive to the oil that you run and then drain the oil out and replace hope this helps

    How do you drain radiator?

    Draining water from your radiator? Take a look at the
    bottom portion of your radiator and find a screwed plug.
    Just unscrew this, and drain the water. Take care that
    you do not do this while the engine is still hot, water coming out is HOT.

    I submerged my 2006 700 king quad what to do? I turned off key but water filled everything. I have drained oil. Motor will turn over. I have not tried to Crank. What should I do

    If water is in fuel tank, drain and refill with clean fuel. Replace fuel filter. Remove spark plug and crank engine over several times to clear cylinder of possible water. Clean and dry plug, reinstall, refill oil and try to start engine.
    You may get a pleasant surprise.

    1. Start with a stone cold engine

    2. Open the radiator cap

    3. Open the radiator drain plug and let out as much coolant as will drain';

    4. Replace drain plug and refill the sytem with distilled water

    5. Run the engine for for few minutes until it is warm (not hot);

    6. Repeat steps #3, #4 and #5 until you've effectively replace all of the coolant with distilled water. You'll know your finished draining the system when only clear water drains out.

    7. Drain the system one last time (now only residual distilled water should be in your cooling system);

    8. **** out all the coolant in the overflow tank (I use a Turkey baster or a huge syringe with a short length of rubber tubing.)

    9. Replace the radiator drain plug.

    10. Add undiluted anti-freeze to the system;

    11. Run the engine to mix the distilled water already in the cooling system with the newly added antifreeze.

    12. Check the antifreeze/water concentration with a tester.

    13. Over the next few days, adjust to the desired antifreeze/water mixture over the next several days. You'll likely have to **** out a little coolant mixture from the fill cap to create room for either the distilled water or the anit-freeze you'll be adding to adjust to the desired concentration. Sometimes I adjust by adding either water or antifreeze to the coolant- overflow tank which utimately mixes with the engine coolant;

    14. Don't forget to add collant and/or water to the coolant overflow tank.
