It depends if you still have a pre mix tank already fitted. Mine came with the pre mix tank taken off. It is a white coloured container in a fairly flat shape on the 98 model which should be underneath the seat when you lift it. Not sure about newer models. It should have 2 stroke oil in (quite often pink). If not I have been advised to mix the 2 stroke with the petrol at about 50:1 ratio, however I would check with your local motorcycle shop or Aprilia dealer. Alternatively get a workshop manual for the correct year of bike and it will give you all the information you need in there. Also if the tank runs to empty it has to be bled otherwise if air is in the pre mix tank it can cause damage to the engine.

I have an aprilia rx125 2008 & the oil petrol mixing system has been blocked off and now petrol & oil are mixed in the petrol tank, but the bike starts for 3-5seconds then stops & petrol comes out of

Hi Steve, and the usual suspects are:
1. Damaged or restricted fuel tank venting system.
2. Loose float bowl screws.
3. Damaged float bowl o-ring.
4. improper fuel level in the float bowl.
5. Worn or dirty inlet valve or seat.
6. Damaged or leaking float assembly.
7. Particle contamination in inlet fitting cavity.

Hi Anonymous, for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix/test or parts inquiry. If necessary transport your vehicle to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. Just got a suzuki rm 125 2004 wat is the premix for it i used 2 run a cr125 on 100ml of oil to every 5liters of petrol

yes that is correct. 100ml to 5 liters of petrol, will give you a 50:1 mix Same will work for your rm 2 stroke.
I would recomend a synthetic 2 stroke oil for a 50:1 mix.

Have an rs125 aprilia, it keeps stopping through having too much oil going into the engine and oiling up the sparkplug. Have tried putting a new plug in, but it does the same 10 minutes later?

you may find that you need to replace the oil pump as there set up for the right mix of oil to fule, there may be an oil jet you can change on it

How do i make my aprilia rs50 go fast with out put diffrent parts on it?

what we used to do back i the good old days was put moth balls with the petrol (let them dissolve overnight) they used to run great the mix was 7 balls with 5 liters. Nowadays, high octane fuel mixers/ pro boost/ or nitromethane are readily available. ;-)

After changing the gearbox oil on my aprilia

Dump the special oil and go back to 10w40 motor oil. The manufacturer does not recommend any "special" oils be used. They can cause the clutch friction disks to swell among other problems like you currently are having. If possible, stick with the name brands; Shell, Mobil, Pennzoil, Quaker State, etc.. It may take awhile to rid the bike of the synthetic oil but get it out of the gearbox as soon as possible.

Please take a moment to rate this answer. Thanks Tim.

Oil

Hi KK
Use 600 ml is you are changing the oil, or 650ml  if you have just rebuilt the engine and filling from dry. Use light weight gear oil.

Aprilia 125

i planned to buy a motorbike just try the aprillia 125 and i really like it. so i need ur advice about the maintanance and spare parts. as my fren told me the spare parts dammen expensive lorr... 1 set sprockect and chain cost about rm600 is it true??? i dun care about the fuel consumption coz i use to go to work only so it's take about 60km per day only. pls help me... use castrol 2t oil. else, use repsol. you must always high-REV the bike... if not lagi cepat rosak!! many apprilia owner never rev hard enough and their engine got damaged easily. this is because the piston needs to be lube but the valve will only open when you high-REV(to the correct power-band) the bike. 6000rpm and above. You must ride hard on this bike. If you think by riding gentle the bike will last longer, you are wrong. Engine will get over heated very easily cos piston not properly lubed since power-valve never open. it's a nice bike to own,,,
