When i try to fill the coolant reservoir, the coolant comes out of the overflow hose.why?and the radiator is full

In all, there must be 2Liters of coolant in this engine. If more, it will go out, first to reservoir later through the overflow hose.
When refilled the coolant, start the engine and unscrew the 8 mm bolt on the left side in front of the tank just under small plastic cover.
The coolant must come out when unscrew the bolt 1 or 2 turns out. On this way you let out the air and the cooling system is in order.

I have a 1985 Honda VT500 Shadow. It bogs down at about 5500 rpm. I changed the 4 spark plugs, checked the air filter, took off the carbs and blew out the bowls, looked clean. Put back together and

there are many air channels in the carbs, witch can be dirty, clean them with very thin wire, and first bled out the gas, check the 2 diaphragms in the carbs

Can someone tell me where to find the fuse box on a 1985 honda shadow 500.> Thanks. email me > dan.kozlauskos@att.net

Your fuse box is located on the handle bars under the black "HONDA" plate. You will break it off if you just grab it and pull. It is held on by two screws that face the fuel tank.If you have a very short phillips insert from a screw driver and a small box end wrench you can some times safely take the screws out with out removing the fuel tank. That technique works on the CX650 hopefully it will work on the VT500. Otherwise you will have to take off the seat and the tank. This will get much easier access to the fuse block cover mounting screws. The guy that designed that pretty piece of plastic did not do any of the owners a favor. Be careful not to break it for you may not be able to get a replacement from Honda.
