You need to go thru the carb.s again. Looking closely for very small holes in any of the jets. Next will be to sync the carb.s together.

Get my 1980 Suzuki GS8750L to run when I turn throttle..it starts n runs fine otherwise..idles wonderful

Is the fuel flowing freely? Definetly a fuel/air starvation issue. Something really simple such as blocked tank filter ,even a blocked exhaust, next doors cat isn't stuck up the pie nis it??

My 1980 GS550 Suzuki idles to high, about 3 to 5000 rpms. how do i adjust the idle.

adjust off the cable so its slack ! then between the carbs there should be the idle adjuster screw and back it off till rpm is about 700 ! rev engine and see if it returns ok ! ? if not then remove carbs and free off the butterflys etc etc !

1997 acura cl 2.2 revs up to 1500 rpm and down to 1000 rpm just several seconds after start

Cars are design to run at a higher idle at start up to warm them up quick. There is a sensor that reads water temperature and tells your car's computer how fast to idle. Your RPMs seem slightly high but not out of the norm. Does idle ever drop to around 600/800 after about a minute? If not, your engine temperature sensor maybe defective.

When i hit the throttle hard it bogs down it also wont rev past 6,000 rpm

When you say it won't rev past 6k what happens? Does it bog down and eventually choke itself out?

sounds like the carb needs a good cleaning. Have you replaced the fuel and air filter? If you take the air filter off does it run better or worse?

Gmc idles rough in cold weather

Check the coolant temp. sensor (It controls warm up RPM, open loop ECU mode) And change the fuel filter every 20,000 miles to prevent water in filter from freezing ( fuel starvation).

I have a 1980 Suzuki GS 550 L as my winter project. First thing I did was clean tank out and kreem it with tank liner. Then rebuild the carburetors top and bottom end of the carbs. I soaked the jets in...

Please take out your spark plugs and check their electrode condition. If they are black then you have a very rich mixture. That could be a faulty ignition spark (weak) or clogged airway in the air filter housing. Also check the carb's needles if they are adjustable in height, pute them in the middle scale. I believe when you were cleaning the carbs, you took out the pilot screw and the idle jet and cleaned that circuit thoroughly.
If they are white then your mixture is lean (probably your intake system sucks extra air from the intake collars where you plug the carbs on to the cylinder head or from the collars that connects the carbs to the air filter housing)

I have a 1981 gs 550L i can get it started but it will idle then high rev all on its own to about 5-7000 and slowly work its way down. just had the carb rebuilt and its still doing it.

Check the mouting locations and carb boot/seals for cracks. this appears to be a vaccum leak nad the previous area's mentioned should be checked as well as throttle position.
