Engine runs with choke on,starts to miss fire at 4000rpm when coming off choke and dies with no choke at all, stutters and miss fires with throttle open but will not tick over at all

Sounds like this bike has been standing for a good while & the carbs need cleaning & resetting (or there is water in fuel in carbs)

2001 heritage clssaic starts and idles fine when you put it under power it bogs out after 1/4 trottle pull the choke out and you get to 1/2 trottle before it bogs and if you hold in bog zone it will die...

It sounds like one of two things. One, the jets in the carb may be clogged. The way you're describing it, it sounds like the main jet in the carb is clogged. You're running off the slow speed jet. When you open the choke (enricher) you're adding a bit more fuel and air improving the performance a bit. If it's te carb, it needs to be completely disassembled and soaked in a professional quality carb cleaner and thoroughly gone through to ensure all passageways are clear.

The next problem is the exhaust system. I've seen bikes do this before when changing a camshaft. Remove a stock cam and install a high performance cam and the bike will no longer run. The reason is that the baffles in the exhaust system were so restrictive that the engine could no longer "breathe" with them in there. Removed the baffles and the engine ran fine but was too loud for the owner's liking. We replaced the stock system with a free flowing high performance muffler system and the bike ran great.

Good Luck

Ok i just got a 2004 crf 70. i have taken carb apart twice and cleaned every jet ect... problem is when wide open it cuts out spits and spudders. I have changed settings on throttle cable and swapped out...

Could be that you need to go up one jet size.
When choking a motor, your richening the mixture with more fuel, less air.
So if you must choke it, you must need more fuel.

As for electrical. some bikes have a rev limiter when you hold the throttle wide open You may be reaching the rev limit.
A rev limiter with turn the power on/off the coil superfast, keeping the rmp at a maximum factory setting, and the motor breaks up at full throttle.
Some cdi's have and adjustment that you can set your own rev limit, or you can buy a cdi with no rev limit.
Hope this helps

Idles ok with choke out but wont run any higher

the carbereter jets are blocked up,, strip it out and clean them out
but dont go pokeing a bit of wire into any jets or you will distroy them
if jets are blocked the bike will normaly only run with full choke on

!991 FZR 1000 Idle normal when cool, High when hot(2-3,000)

Sounds like you need the carbs cleaned and synchronized, then the idle set once the bike warms up. May also have a cracked intake boot, or a vacuum line off.
