Question about 1995 Yamaha YZF 750 R

1 Answer

One of the overflow tubes on the right side of my bike came off.

What are the three overflow tubes on the right side of my 1995 yamaha yzf 600 connected to? One came loose and I can't reconnect it. I think one must be to the gas and possibly another hooked to the coolant. Is one for oil?

I just got a 97 fzr 600 how do i check the coolant level

With the engine cool, locate the radiator cap on the right side of the motorcycle under the fake tank (the real tank is under neath a plastic cover). You may have to take off the right lower cowl. Remove the cap and fill the radiator to the top. Now, take off the seat and fill the overflow bottle to the high mark. You can follow the overflow tube from the over flow bottle to the radiator cap and vice versa. Ride the motorcycle and check the over flow tank level again after the bike cools down .

I have a 97 yzf 600. it had thefuel turn varnishshy. after draining ld fuel, and adding newfuel, the bike fires fine bu soon after begins overflowing thru the overflo . what shoul ido ?

The varnish is causing the float inside the carb to stick in an open position. The carbs will need to be removed and cleaned with carb cleaner. Tough varnish can be quickly removed using denatured alcohol.

Hi, Dgibbs0214 for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem.
