the 4-pin wiring goes from the spark unit to the pulse generator.
the yellow wire and the yel/wht wire go to the pulse generator connector... read into the pulse generator side for approx 400 to 450 omhs and stick the yellow and the yel/wht wire into that position, now just put in the other two wires. By looking at the schematic it shouldnt matter which same color pair fit in an exact location just as long as a curcuit loop is continuos because it goes through a coil they read the same input but in a dual fashion at the same time.

for the 6-pin.. the green wire splices into the green wire going from the fuel pump connector green wire. the fuel pump green wire splices into a lot of other green wires.
The blk/wht stripe goes to one side of each coil terminal tab, on the #1 and #4 it will be spliced again becaused the same wire goes to each coil same tab location for each, and then splices off again and goes up to the engine kill switch blk/wht wire.
the blue /yel stripe goes to the #2 and #3 coil tab

the yellow/blu stripe goes to the other coil #1 and #4and splices off up the line and connects with the yellow/blu wire from the fuel cutoff relay which i believe is close by the battery( if you need further assistance on it location feel free to ask, i"ll take a look at my 87'), and then also splices again to the yellow /blu wire comming from the tachometer.
my manual list two other wires which my87 doesnt have, but everything works as advertized, i"ll list them anyway incase yours does:
Grn/wht goes to grn/wht of the clutch switch
the other is lightgreen/red and it goes to neutral light and also splices off to the neutral switch and then splices one more time to the silcon rectifier ( i believe thats located underneath the left side of the fuel tank or near that area its a small rectangular black plastic electronic looking box about 1 inch long by 1/2 inch wide). Now after you've completed this monumental task and it cranks but wont start then just swap around the set of wires on the pulse generator connector sticking with the same colors when you switch them. i know this is a big job and might take awhile but let me know if you ever get this going it have you ever ridin this bike i love mine it beats 750's off the line and keeps up with the new cbrs! hope this helps you out.

Bike wont start. starter will turn over but no spark to plugs.can anyone help?

Check all wiring connections on cdi unit - just follow spark plugs leads back. If all cables are ok then you need to check the cdi unit out. Check that cut out switch is not on, although it should not tunr over, if this was the case

Will not start no fire on spark plug

It's always a good idea to start electrical malfuction diagnosis by carefully inspeting the applicable wiring, look for melted burnt or cut wires or loose connectors or connector pins. If your Sundance is equiped a 4 cylinder engine have the distributor pickup tested . If equipped with a 6 cylinder engine have the ECM/PCM tested. With either engine find the applicable testing specs and use an ohmeter to check the ignition coil primary/secondary resistance.

Have plug in towbar electrics for 52plate passet saloon need diagram to wire plug at towball

Hi There.
here are the 7 cable locations and pin numbers.
Pin 1 Yellow L/H Direction Indicator
Pin 2 Blue Rear Fog Lamps
Pin 3 White Earth Return
Pin 4 Green R/H Direction Indicator
Pin 5 Brown R/H Tail & No, Plate Light
Pin 6 Red Stop Lamps
Pin 7 Black L/H Tail & No, Plate Lights

I found the easiest way to locate the correct wires in the loom is to turn on the lights required and use a circuit tester and splice into the main loom where you have enough wire to play with. Try not to cut the loom as it only causes more problems with bad connections and joins.
Good Luck

One cylinder spark plug not firing- replaced plug ran well for 30 seconds then stopped firing

With Ignition switch off :-
1st Check for bad connections, broken/crushed wires, continuity & resistance between the cap, HT lead, coil, ignition coil primary wires
2nd Disconnect the CDI unit from its connector & check for the same between the loom side of the connector back to the coil
3rd Check coil is earthed

If all OK suspect the CDI unit but double check everything first( there are some more checks as well), as these are very expensive

Ride safe

Please rate this solution well if it has helped !!
Any comments welcome

My 2001 KLR 650 was recently stolen and recovered. In an attempt to get it started the thieves cut the wires from the loom to ignition switch and joined all (6) wires together. However as there is both...

I would definitely get a good manual with wiring diagrams. Make sure the CDI has power and ground to the proper CDI input wires, and that all wiring connections are tight. I'm assuming the battery is charged and the starter spins the motor over nicely. There may also be a throttle position switch which will kill the ignition if it senses a discrepancy in the throttle cable position. Try twisting open the throttle while cranking and you may get spark in a position other than idle.

Gsxr 750 no spark how do i test cdi

I've this data from my 1986 engine!

Under the left hand side cover there are 2 2-wire connections. One with a green and a black wire, one with a blue and a yellow wire.
Use an ohmmeter at R x 100 between both wires of a connector to check the pick-up coils: resistance must be between 130 and 180 Ohms.

The values of the ignition coil resistances are:
primary coil : 3-5ohms ( set ohmmeter at R x 1 )
Secundary coil : 25.000 - 45.000 ohms ( set ohmmeter at R x 1.000 )
For a correct measurement ALL leads must be disconnected ( also the spark plug leads )

The CDI cannot be tested with a simple measurement. Suzuki dealers have a special tool to test CDI boxes.
But checking the pick-up coils and ignition coils good will indicate an defective CDI.

The wires on the CDI:
Blue: PU coil 1 ( cyl 1-4 )
Yellow: PU coil 1
Green: PU coil 2 ( cyl 2-3 )
Blue : PU coil 2
Orange/white : +12v ign coil 1-4
White : switched coil negative side ign coil 1-4
Orange/white : +12v ign coil 2-3
Blue/yellow: switched coil negative side ign coil 1-4 ( and signal to tachometer )
Blue/white : ground

Thus, you must have +12V on both Orange/white leads.

19-95 KLF300 ATV Kawasaki 4x4 no spark put new ignitor unit on.

You said the motor cut out and popped and backfired when it quit, this is almost always one of two things; either the low speed pulse coil or the actual CDI "black" box. You will almost never lose a main coil. One thing I would also check to make sure did not happen is shearing a flywheel mag key. When the motor backfires you can easily shear a mag key if you have a heavy flywheel, (external). However when this happens you don't usually lose spark but it will certainly cause the backfire.
One other item of importance is that the bike you are in question about does not emit a bright spark when you are checking for fire. Make sure you are using a brand new plug and ground it on the head. Try to make sure you are in a dark environment when you check the spark.
