Question about 2008 kawasaki Ninja 250R

1 Answer

There seems to be a black rubber tube hanging down below the bike very close to the kick-stand. This small black tube hangs a few inches below the body of the bike and I am wondering if it is suppose to be connected to something.

That is usually the battery overflow tube right there. Don't want acid draining on the metal surfaces.

2008 kia sportage water is dripping from the blower motor, what do i do?

It's the water from you A/C condenser ,the drain tube runs under the car and at times they do get plugged up or bugs get in there. any ways if you look under the vehicle at the fire wall you should see a small rubber tube hanging down not connected to anything ,if you can get a small flexable wire and put in up in the hose about 6 inches or so you may feel the obstruction and or water will come out , you can all so use compressed air to move blockage. good luck hope this helps you . Why is my F9 dispensing coffee directly into the grounds container instead of out the spouts?

From your description I would say a broken O ring seal in the brewing chamber. You will need to remove the brewing unit and clean, replace seals and lubricate the sliding guides.

Where does the small tube from bottom of float bowl go

First, where does it come from. It is the overflow for the carb. Comes from a tube inside the carb. Where it goes; basically out the bottom of the bike. It does not connect to anything. just routes down the frame and out the bottom of the bike. It allows any overflow fuel to not get all over your bike.

XJ 700 N Carb issues

1. If it only runs in the pri position, that means that the petcock small rubber line is not connected to a vacuum port which is normally in the engine side of the carbs. If you unplug the fuel lines at the petcock and place a vacuum on the smaller rubber line (coming from the petcock)using a hand held vacuum tool or your mouth, the petcock should flow gas each time a vacuum is created and stop when the vaccum stops. If the petcock does not stop flowing gas when the vacuum is released or does not start flowing gas when a vacuum is applied, then the petcock needs servicing or replacing.

2. The fuel is still spilling out because the float is sticking or out of adjustment, or the needle&seat has trash/rust in it or the needles&seats are bad. The float should swing freely on its pivot shaft. The needle sometimes has a spring loaded plunger in top that should freely move back and forth when pressed with the finger and if not replace it or free it up. Setting the floats will vary with manufacturers so consult you service manual for the proper procedure. If the floats are set too high, gas will continue to come out. Some floats have no adjustment.

3. If the tank has rust in it, replace the tank or put a rubber liner kit in it so that it ceases to release rust back into the carbs. Filters will not normally stop rust so the tank needs to be free of rust or fixed with a liner kit.

4. The 4 tubes (if coming from the bottom of the carb fuel bowls) are just overflow tubes and hang down on the backside of the engine. If these 4 tubes are coming from the sides of the carb (about midway up the carb body), these are also vent tubes and just hang. These 4 tubes in question should be smaller than the fuel lines on the carbs and about the same size (maybe a little smaller) as the small vacuum tube coming off of the petcock.

5. If the bike is still boggy and/or hard starting when done correcting the fuel spilling issue, that is because the carbs are still partly plugged. Most carbs do not get cleaned out correctly because most consumers do not have the proper wire drills to go through the jets to get them cleaned out. Some jets get under .010 inch diameter which is really small. The only other way to properly clean the carbs are to totally disassemble them and soak them in a caustic carb cleaner made for cleaning and removing fuel deposits

Leaking when filling

Sounds like the hose to the pressure switch is off and hanging down. A bit unusual but unplug the machine take the lid of and you will see a round object about 2 inches across. there should be a long thin black hose attached to this. If not this may be your hose which is hanging down.

When I start the car it runs fine but when i put it into gear it dies and i have to restart the car. Right before this when I applied the brakes the car would jump ahead instead of stopping.

Sounds like you may have a vacuum leak. You need to look closely around the carb/intake area for any disconnected small rubber hoses. Also check a fat rubber hose (1 inch or so) which goes to the big drum looking thing drivers side firewall - part of the brakes power booster system.

Look for hanging loose tubes/hose or worn through by rubbing etc.. Try to replace tubes to closest point where it looks like it goes. May have to cut a small peice off the end if it's stretched out and loose fitting.
Hope this helps

Hangs up on timer number "19", sometimes shows

Inlet error. Took longer than 10 minutes to fill OR the central computer control thinks it took longer.
themobilian_35.jpgTake the top off and hunt down the small rubber tube from control to tub, blow out the sediment. Do the water level test as shown in the manual and more here

I have a rubber bleeder tube hanging from forward transfer case.

If its about 1/4" inside diameter and a soft hose that attaches to the differential or axle tube, it's the vent for the diff. It is usually tucked up against the firewall near the master cylinder and is supposed to have a small vent cap (small but open shield) on it. Just tuck it back up there and secure it with a tie wrap so it doesn't drag and it will be fine.

I need to know how long the stand?

Lean bike as close as vertical as you can with throttle side against a wall. Let bike rest normally on suspension and place a housebrick or 3 inch (75mm) block 12 inches (300mm) away from sidestand mounting point. Measure the distance from this mouint point to top of block. This is the optimum length. Use frame quality tubing and solid steel lugs. Check return space along swingarm also. Cheers.
