Can I fit a SUZUKI RM 250 Engine into a 2000 RM 125 frame?

Hi, Anthony sounds like something I would try when I was a kid but after careful deliberation 4 out 5 Suzuki Gods give this one a thumbs down, but just to be on the safe side you should give your local dealer's parts/service department a call to confirm it's just not worth the time trouble and expense you would be better off getting a used 250 bike. How do i check the transmission oil levl in my 2006 harley davision 1200 sporters

The transmission is mounted inside the engine case on this bike. Remove the clutch cover and look toward the bottom of the primary housing. As long as oil is touching the bottom of the clutch basket, your oil level is correct.

Cant get out of gear

If this is a Suzuki RM250, But even if it is not, this is where I believe your problem is.

Start simple. I'm willing to bet that the shifting mechanism behind the clutch basket is broken in some way. And that your actual transmission including the shift forks, are fine.

I personally have broken item # 26 and 20 on my '02 RM250. Both cause the same problems that you have describe. and both can be repaired by leaving the engine in the frame, but pulling the large clutch cover and the clutch basket. Everything sits halfway behind the lower left part of the clutch basket.

Let me know, as the title of your problem was very limited on bike, year and of course more symptoms. Thanks Mike

Im having trouble with my 2002 rm 250 clutchs... when i start to run the bike the cluth get like stuck or something and wildly releases at any moments and the bike runs off... its barely imposble to run...

  • A couple of things could be wrong. The clutch cable center wire could be frayed and catching up on the outer shell.
  • The clutch cable is bent or has been hit and crushed.
  • The outer and/or inner clutch hub is grooved and the friction plates are hanging up in the grooves.
  • You changed the gearbox oil and put in synthetic oil or an oil with "Special" additives. Synthetics can swell the cork on the friction plates and cause problems. Only use 10w40 motor oil in the gearbox.
  • A bad needle bearing at the pressure plate or on the shaft
  • The clutch was re-assembled incorrectly.

Will a 2004 suzuki rm 250 front brake line fit on a 2003 suzuki rm 250

The '03 and '04 K1, K2, and K3 models use the SKU# 59480-36E30. The '03 and '04 K4, K5, and K6 models use the SKU# 59480-37F00. Personally, I would take the old hose to a dealer and match it up to a new one. The difference in SKU numbers could be simply the supplier or the finish on the metal fittings. If you want to see what K number your bike is, go to the following site and input the VIN number. NOT THE ENGINE NUMBER.

Clutch not engaging

could be a few different things,But always start with the small( inexpensive )first and work your way up...#1 check your clutch cable adjustment to be sure its engaging and disengaging properly(clutch cables stretch over time and need replaced or adjusted)...but if you have never done any clutch work to the bike(and you ride it like i do mine) #2. it probably needs new clutch plates and #3 maybe clutch basket from your description of the problem. the clutch plate fibers wear down over time(they are like brake pads and wear out).and the plates wear groves in the clutch basket and interfear with the plate movement...hopefully its just your cable..hope this helps..

Suzuki rm 250

I wonder if the clutch "basket" broke off an "ear"?...I hate to say it,..but you might be in for a tear down and rebuild. Start with the parts you can access, clean/fix/replace with motor still in; clutch plates/basket, "properly" fix the kickstarter spring/gear unit,...try to find thae cause of the metal filings,..check the clutch basket..etc. GL. [re-post with what's going on].

2001 suzuki rm 250-Clutch feels like it is grabbing to much only from a stop?, it's making a weird noise when the clutch is being disengauged and sometimes stalls. checked clutch plates and basket and...

I have the same bike doing the same thing, I think this problem is caused by running regular or synthetic motor oils intended for cars rather than using motorcycle specific 10- 40wt. Motorcycle specific oils have friction properties that support long life of the friction plates in your clutch, regular motor oils can cause your friction plates to heat up and glaze over. I think That's what gives you that grabby all or nothing feel when taking off from a stop.
