Question about 2006 Harley Davidson FXDBI Street Bob

1 Answer

Bike won't start

I have a 2007 street bob, whenever I put the key in the alarm lights blink over and over and the engine won't start. The little red key light stays on but it won't even turn over. I don't know for sure but I think the alarm might have something to do with it not starting. Can I disable the alarm? it has the key fob but not the type with a button to push. I just wanna get my bike started!

Are the lights coming on? If not, check battery and battery connections for tightness. If lights are on, then I would check all fuses. Have you accidently hit the run/stop switch getting on bike?

No left turn signal or indicator

Hi Anonymous, start by checking for continuity at the turn signal switch, then check the wiring harness connector to your turn signal module for corroded, broken or loose pins and the red key light is your security alarm indicator light, for more information on your question please visit the websites below and good luck:

Engine and battery light on

make sure your reading on your charging system is putting enough power to charge the battery first, put a voltage meter on your battery see while running see if shes charging 14 volts max is good. then start narrowing it down. twin cams , idk ill stick to my shovelhead and Kannon with the 350 chevy engine. less B.S. to go wrong.

I have a09 street bob that won't start. The lights come on, I can hear the engine whine when I put it in on, but when I press the start I get nothing. Not even so much as a click.

Sounds like a battery low on charge. As the bike has huge pistons compared to a 4 cylinder machine, it's harder for the starter motor to turn and needs more power.

Try charging the battery, on a proper charger not an optimate battery conditioner type.

When starting turn any ancilaries (lights, heated grips etc) off.

Good Luck
