Replace starter

Get the front of the car safely up on ramps..
Chalk the back tires..
Disconect the positive cbl on battery..
Under the front - find the starter..
Disconect the wires & write down where each one goes..
Two bolts to drop the starter..
Put new starter in - there is no wrong way - they only go in one way..
Hook the wires on to it..
Reconect the battery..

Hope this helps !!

Turn signals have been disconected

is the wiring stowed near where the old signals were? if they are, is there a common color wire between all 4 signals?

if there isn't a common color and you are handy with a voltmeter (set to ohms with the buzzer on), you can ring them to ground (an unpainted frame bolt) to see which ones buzz. those that buzz to ground with the ignition off are the ground (negative) wires. the other is the turn signal wire.

the last step (assuming either the rear signals or front signals are a 3 wire system) is to find which wire is for running lights and which is for signals to flash. if you only have 2 wires at each signal, then skip this step.

set the voltmeter to DC volts (20v range is fine), turn the bike to the on position (don't start it), keep the turn signal switch off and place the positive lead of the voltmeter to one of the 2 remaining wires and the other to the ground wire (you just found out which is ground in the previous step) and see if the voltmeter jumps to at least 11 volts. if it does, then you have just determined which wire is the running lights wire. if it doesn't, then move it to the other wire to see if that makes the voltmeter move.

repeat at the other signals that have a 3 wire system.

good luck.
