Indicator lights not working none light when turn key on,battery new and charged,

If there's no lights appearing on your dashboard when you turn the key, that suggests an electrical -earthing - problem.

Check the earth cable - the black cable - on your battery. Make sure the terminals are clean and tight and also check the condition of the cable itself. A corroded and broken cable can cause problems.

However, check where the black cable attaches to the block of gearbox. Try loosening and tightening the bolt that secures that cable. It may just be a 'bad earth'.

Hello I have a 2005/2006 v6 hilux that won't turn over pls help me

If a car won't crank there are 3 main causes:
Dead battery
Faulty starter motor
Poor battery earth.

Do the easy things first .. get somebody to give you a boost start?

If your car starts with boost points towards a failed battery or bad earth (the black battery cable.. where it attaches to the battery and also to the engine/bodywork).

If your battery is ok - clean both the terminals and where the black cable attaches to the engine/bodywork. Bear in mind that if you disconnect the battery you'll probably lose the radio code.

My 2014 Toyota RAV4 4 will not start. Sounds like bad battery and try to charge but it didn't work. What else could it b??

By bad battery, do you mean that it is sluggish and won't crank at normal speed?

Check your battery cables - particularly the black earth cable where it attaches to the engine block/bodywork. Clean and retighten if necessary. A 'poor earth' can cause starting problems.

Failing that, get somebody with booster cables to try and boost start your car. If your car starts it's pointing towards your battery failing ...

Isn't starting. battery isn't getting a charge. bike starts once the battery is charged

Your battery MOST LIKELY has lost some of the battery cells, which will cause it to get a partial charge which will show it as a FULL charge when in fact it isn't getting a full charge. You should try taking it to get the battery tested and they can tell you if it needs to be replaced. I would guess they are going to replace it for you. A new battery should run around $90 for a motorcycle. Let me know if this helps you out. Jeff from fixya

Trunk will not open because of a power failure on a db9 2006

I assume by power failure you mean a dead battery?
If so, open bonnet and connect jump cables to +ve terminal at front left hand side of engine bay and the earth cable to the engine mounting taking care not mark the alloy. Allow the battery to charge from the donor vehicle for at least 10 mins before inserting your fob. Take car for a 20min drive to recharge battery. If you need to get to battery for any reason, it lives under the right rear passenger seat. Leather seat is atached with velcro, removing it reveals a cover secured by 10mm bolts, underneath is battery.

I have a 2008 MS3 250 that will not charge

The battery may be dead and won't receive a charge. If you haven't already, try changing the battery, but charge the new battery on a battery charger before you put it in. You don't want the charging system to have to start off trying to charge another partially charged battery.

Battery wont stay charged

Ok this is probably one of two things either you have a bad earth on the bike causing a poor re charge rate or your alternator / magneto has gone up the spout ?.
If it is a bad earth you will probably be getting other symptons as well for insatnce rear bulbs blowing or headlight bulbs blowing ..horn or starter ( if fitted ) works intermittently you get the picture . check around the bike to all points where the loom attaches to the frame or the engine ( usually black wire bolted to earth ..= frame ) remove and check wires then clean the area it was attached to with a bit of sand paper / emery cloth and refit especially the one from the battery Minus side Black ?. that will go straight to frame somewhere . If it stays the same after you do this you need to check the output of the magneto . with the bike running place a multimeter on the battery terminals voltages should be any where between 12.volts to 13.5 or higher check specs in manuel if not then Magneto / dynamo / alternator faulty finaly if all else fails ( and this was left till last as you said it was new check the ph of the battery ie sometimes new battries should be full of acid but are not .. just water I have had a few .. especially if they are the none maintanance type . .. hope this helps Regards vortash
