Sounds like maybe your gasket got worn out from the heat which is possible. I would turn off the pitcock to the fuel and pull off the tank to access the carburetor and pull that out then open up the top to see up close what's going on. Clean the carb casing and examine the seal around the lip.

No oil getting to engine

easy fix did one yesterday, first off take off the side engine casing, the one where your drive belt is, underneath the front varietor you will see the 2 stroke oil pump, its only small but easily visible. It has a large tube going to it and a smaller one the large is the feed tube from the 2 stroke oil tank and the smaller one is the feed tube to the carb.
you have to prime this pump in order to get the oil to the carb. start by making sure you have pleanty of 2 stroke oil in the bottle, nec=xt on the oil pump in the centre of the 2 pipes is a pozi head bleed screw, undo the a few turns but not all the way out then take the lid off your 2 stroke oil tank and allow the oil to run freely from the tank to the pump until you see it go into pump with no air bubbles should only take a few mins, once this is archived, tighten the bleed screw back up, next you have to get the oil from the pump upto the carb, easiest way is to crank the engine over with the spark plug out this will pump the oil to the carb, make sure to have the throttle open as this allows the oil pump to open thus passing oil upto carb once you see oil up the little pipe to carb your all sorted.
i would place some petrol mixed with 2 stroke oil in the tank as your cranking a engine with no oil in it once it is primed up just fill with petrol and you will be fine.

I have a pulsar 150,now my carburetor leaks oil from waste pipe,my mechanic firstly shown rust in oil tank then he change the tank ,many times clean the carburetor and change the pin.but oil leakge not...

Hi,the way it works is.....petrol gose from tank into filler pipe into carb it fills the bowl at the bottom of carb float rises and shuts off the petrol by means of a inlet valve when float pushes it shut,
so if there is petrol coming out of the over flow pipe from the carb bowl it is iver the valve is worn(can be replaced)or the float is not at the right level(to high) or float has a hole so sinks(get a small container put petrol in it and put float in if it floats its ok)the other thing is the gasket that gose between the bowl and and top part of bowl make shore its not broken,
hope this helped all the best.

I have a CS 440 chainsaw. Accidentally placed chain oil in the gas/oil chamber. Cleaned it out quickly but now the chainsaw will not run. What else can I do?

The filter, fuel hose, and possibly the carb is now full of chain oil, pull the fuel pipe off the carb, with the fuel filler cap off blow through the pipe to clear any oiltrapped. now replce the filter on the end of the pipe, go through the start procedure, if it still will not start, remove the air filter and drizzel a small amount of fresh fuel oil mix straight into the filter elbow, this should start the engine, if it stops again repeat the process until it clears itself.

Not getting gas in the carb. changed pump. poured a littlr gas in the carb good compression but dies when gas runs out

get a oil can the thumb operated type and squirt some oil down the petrol pipe and make sure pipe is upwards so the oil runs into the pump then leave for a while to wet the valves in the pump then crank engine to make sure petrol comes up or just refit the pipe and pour some petrol down the carb and watch it go

2001 volusia 805 lots of oil in airfilter housing it looks like it is coming in from carb area. Tons of smoke out of tail pipes

check your oil level to see if your engine is over filled.
Also smell the oil to see if you have gas in the oil cause buy a bad fuel petcock allowing fuel to seep into the engine if the bike was stored for some time.

Black smoke front engine on motorbike

check valve cover is it leaking oil. clean up the engine real good....i use chemtool B-12 carb cleaner.. wear gloves and don't breathe the fumes and if it gets on the exhaust, you"ll see smoke come off the pipes, so let it dry up before riding and wipe the exhaust pipes real ride the bike and see if you see any smoke...when you do, pull over and take a look to see where its coming could also be coming from a leaking exhaust pipe gasket.

Is your choke stuck open? And maybe the slides in the carb are stuck in the up position.

Raw fuel picking up and mixing with oil. Chk carb float levels and fuel tank petcock. Make sure petcock is not on PRI. That is the prime position and will let your fuel run free. been there, done that.. Good Luck- Ned -
