This is no doubt a bad *** bike very fast when in good condition. But i have bad news for you, They no longer make parts for this bike most parts for this bike were shipped from japan in the 70's then they found out there was a problem with emissions, I think this bike was just to fast for its time, It just couldnt hold up. I hate to break the news to you, But i do have a little info on it like specs.. Check out this website.

Now if you want to order the few parts that still are around u can get on this site.

http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/yamaha-motorcycle-tx750-1973/o/m7788

Your best bet would be like ebay checking it periodically for parts. Or find like a euro forum to talk to people and see if you can get parts shipped over. Or even old junk yards for bikes i know there are a couple around my house but they dont ship. I would google junkyards for motorcycles and see if there are any in your area. Hope i answered ur question. Good luck

I am sorry but the age of the bike precludes any information outside of a factory manual being avail here, try and find a used factory manual.

ebay is a good source for this manual, also do a google search for used factory motorcycle manuals, check with the local dealer if poss and see if they may have and old manual lying about. My dealer had manuals back to the 60's when i looked through the archives upstairs

No spark to spark plugs. Trying to restore old bike, if I can get it to start. 1982 Yamaha Maxim 750 YICS

That bike has two coils that often go bad, and also it has a semi solid state breaker ignition system that often causes problems. You should join a site for Yamaha maintenance, where you can partake of the members knowledge. see: http://www.yamahaclub.com/forums/topic/8640-1982-yamaha-maxima-650/

Ony title the the title reads year 1981 yamaha modle/body MS Iwhen I went to register it the register said somthing about xj 650 hs what does the xj and hs mean and can u tell me what my bike is the...

The VIN number should be 17 characters and found on the frame....should start with JYA

Now count off from the left to the 10th character,,,,,,,
if its an A its a 1980 model, B is an 1981, C is a 1983.

the 4H7 in the VIN means its an XJ650H model made in 1980 & 1981, Look up XJ650 on the net for more info on your bike.

Im trying to find out about my bike the vin is 3 DB 000222 its a yamaha 125

Jamie, the numbers shown are not the VIN number unless the bike is 1982 or plder. Current VINs are 17 digits. The VIN is the frame number. If the number shown came off the motor it will be useless in identifing the bike. You can check the VIN on the title if you have it, or find the number on the frame (usually in the steering stem area). The website below can identify the bike by the VIN. Please rate my answer.

I have a yamaha dirt bike that someone stole and

Check the igniter. Go back to the dealer and ask him to see one. Then go back and find it on your bike. Yamaha's usually have them under the seat, or left side. But I don't know exactly what year you have. Run the VIN on the frame under my tips and tricks is a web site that'll break it down for you.

Yamaha mx 80 vin#367-605359

The MX80s didn't have true VIN 3s. The # you are referencing is a serial #, and there's no real system to what #s indicate what years. My local dealer has some sort of guide that they've been able to use to tell me the years of a couple of MX80s I've found (I've been looking for a decent one to restore). I would think all dealers would have this same info.
