Just bought my first Husky - 610 SM year 2000. Great bike to ride and bags of fun..... Once I get the damn thing fired up that is !!!. Starting the bike from cold is an absolute nightmare - the electric...

I would say that the starter needs an overhaul and a clean out and relube. Be careful when lubricating the shaft, If the oil is the least bit thick or too heavily applied the pinion will hang up. For the rest, starting the bile is just a case of getting the sequence of the start right for that machine. When I got my Velocette (500 cc single) very long ago, it took me over half an hour to start the first morning, and no electric starters. Soon I was starting it first kick every time.

My bike is leaking oil and gas i know basics in mechanics, i´ve actually ordered the pieces for the gas leaking. I know i can change a gasket, i wanted to know the torque needed to close it back again in...

8 Footpounds of pressure to close it at again
Also could be a simple gasket leak and once fixed might not occur again after you replace gasket you will know if you solved it or not soon enough

Does 610 electric start engine fit in 610 kick start only frame

It can be done, but will cost an arm and a leg. The main casings will have to be replaced. This means the motor will have to split and rebuit.
I would suggest that you give the motor a good service. This means doing the shims as well.

This is a good motor, and generally do not suffer from starting issues.
If you stuggle, let your local dealer do the necessary servicing.
