Hi,if iremeber the drain plug for the sump is at the rear of the motor and is a horizontal one,so watch it when the oil comes out it goes a long way and makes alot of mess on the floor,i cant remember the quantity of oil to go back in,but about 3ltrs springs to mind, there is a sight glass on the right hand rear of the r/h engine casing so you can get it dead right, dont use a fully synthetic oil,the clutch will not like it and will start to slip, and for the life of me i cant remember where the oil filter is,although i normally only replace the filter every second oil change anyway, check with your local dealer to find the location of the filter..nice bike though i had a 1500lc and did over 50000mls on it trouble free, look after it and you will have a good run out of it for years..cheers

Hi, Gene you may have air in the system try bleeding it out like you would for brakes by loosening the oil pressure switch or oil filter with the engine running and watch for bubbles when they stop re-tighten and your good to go, for more information about your question and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the links below. Oil Change

1/Open oil filer neck/hole above foot clutch
2/Drain the oil from cranckcase, drain bolt in front of centre stand. Use a catcher for used oil.
3/Remove oil filter case @ centre of engine block below rad, that hump looking item
4/Put new oil filter the reverse of taking oil filter off.
5/ Close drain hole securely
6/Put new oil into cranckcase abt 3L, check dipstick to see how full it is, if needed continue filling until proper amount is in the cranckcase.
7/ Close the filler neck and it is ready to play
8/ Good enough free advise?

Oil change?

The Filter is on the front, bottom of the engine. It will be tight to get off and must be screwed back on tightly or it will leak.

Oil drain plug is at the rear of the engine, facing backwards.

Oil filling is under the RHS rear chrome cover, two hex socket screws to undo.

C90 takes about 4.5 litres to fill with an oil filter change, 4 litres if you dont cange the filter.

After refilling make sure to hold your bike upright and check the sightglass under the filler. Oil level should be between the markings on the housing.
