On the boom, there should be a pulley mounted on the bottom with a hanging line. This line goes from here down to the first pulley on the block mounted between the seats. Then back up to the pulley on the boom then down to the second pulley between the seats then thru the jam cleats and out thru the eyelet for the skipper to adjust. Hope this helps.

Windsurfing equipment consists of board that looks like a big surfboard and the rig. The rig is like the engine. It has many parts including the sail, the mast, the boom (the part you hold on to) and the extension and universal.
The choice for your first windsurfing board and sail depends on many factors. The main ones are: sailing conditions where you sail, your weight and your ability. Stronger winds, less weight and higher skills indicate a smaller board and sails. For most people a board with more or less 180 liters of volume with a sail around 4.0-6.5 sqr.meters is the perfect starter package.

You do not need a license to sail your Yacht. However, if it
is not yours and you are renting it, you may need a sailing license or some
sort of certificate that proofs that you are capable of sailing the boat.
Also keep in mind that this may differ from country to country so you may want to double check.
