That is an EGR valve return line to the intake. There should be some kind of valve on it to regulate the unit. IF there is no valve then you are going to have to use something like the copper that you had on it. With an EGR valve sticking open you are going to lose some power when you direct it back to the intake 100 percent of the time.

This is not something that you can adjust. If the bike is under warranty, take it in for service.

Hello. Definitely take it back since it is under warranty. Do not work on it. Working on it will void the warranty. Joe

This is some sort of emissions deverter valve,or it was,it was a special hose, with a deverter valve made in it,and it will have to be ordered from the manufacturer

You need to check the valve adjustment on that engine, and make sure your piston rings are good....Sounds like you are getting too much blow by from worn rings or a worn cylnder. You have what's know as a GY6 clone engine....very popular...we rebuild these and service them every week of the year. What your scootter is doing is very indicative of a blow by problem

SUPERBYKE POWERBAND R50 Where can I locate the battery on this bike ?

Hi, Corbet your scooter falls in the CCGS class of scooters because there are at least 100 different brand names of the Classic Chinese Generic Scooter which all have the same body style and mostly run the 50cc-250cc Honda GY6 engines which mean's you can literally go to any shop that works on scooters for parts and repairs. This brings me to the main part of this answer, only the top 10 scooter manufacturers have service-parts-owners manuals that are easily available, CCGS scooters have no manuals available except for the occasional user guide so if I give you a link to a manual of a different brand name, despair not, for it will contain 99% of what you need or are looking for, regarding repairs or maintenance. Have a PRO F-Sports 4 Stroke 150cc Scooter. Headlights don't work. All other lights are ok.

Hi, Dan if your headlight is not working the first thing to check is the headlight bulb for damaged filaments then check your light circuit fuse, that being said the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty ground or power supply to headlight bulb socket.
2. Faulty hi/lo beam switch.
3. Faulty ignition switch.
4. Fuse is good but no continuity on both sides.
5. Faulty wiring between battery positive and headlight bulb socket.
Good luck and have nice a day.

I have a 2001 150cc marshin scooter I think the engine is a gy6. It's smokes kinds bad and I was told that if the timing is not set right that I can ether make it use more gas or make it smoke.

can you tell us if it is a 2 stroke or 4 stroke engine. If it is 2 stroke then is it oil injected or is the oil mixed in the fuel. Can you tell us what viscosity of oil you are using Mostly the ignition timing is fixed by the position of the flywheel. Comment with more information.

My gator 150cc scooter is hard to start... i've replaced the spark plug, changed the oil, checked the fule filter, cleaned the air filter, changed the battery and checked all my hoses. having done all these...

Hi, Grippatl and the usual suspects are:
1. Spark plugs in bad condition or have an improper gap or are partially fouled.
2. Spark plug cables in bad condition.
3. Battery damaged or nearly discharged, should have 12.5 volts.
4. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
5. Throttle controls not adjusted correctly.
6. Water or dirt in the fuel system.
7. Water or dirt in the carburetor.
8. Faulty fuel pump.
9. Intake air leak.
10. Fuel tank vent hose and vapor valve plugged, or fuel line closed off, restricting fuel flow.
11. Enricher valve inoperative.
12. Engine lubricant to heavy (winter operation).
13. Ignition is not functioning properly (possible sensor failure).
14. Faulty ignition coil.
15. Valves sticking.
