Check your coil pick up find any old motorcycle parts provider online look at the pick. pull teh side cover on the other side of your stator and there it should be. might even be on outside of stator. probably it. email for a walk through

check stator, ign coil, first things i would check, fire starts at stator, goes to cdi then to ign coil, usually stator, make sure spark plug is good

The XV250 doesn't have any coolant. It isn't liquid cooled it's an air cooled V-twin.

Loose Performance

Check to see if you have spark on the cold head plug. Then if you,check to see what colour the sprk is. It should be whiteish blue. if it is orange than it is a week spark.swap plugs from one side to the other to see if the colour changes or follows the plug. if it is still week than you could replace plug cap and wire and try again. If it does not change then you need to replace the coil.

RED SPARK

the fuel doesn't care what colour the spark is. Your problem lies elsewhere.
