You will need to clean remove and clean the carb bowl and needle jet,
as a temporary fix, can sometimes help to give the carb bowl a little tap

When turn on petrol and kick bike, petrol is running out of overflow pipe on carb and bike wont start, and bike sounds flooded.

You have a sticking float in the carburator, due to old gas, or dirt. The float moves a needle that turns on and off the flow of fuel into the carb bowl.

Petrol flowing out of the overflow pipes on a 2001 Triumph America

sounds like you have a float in the carb stuck or it has a hole in it and not shutting the fuel off

Yamaha t80 townmate carb keeps overflowing with petrol

Yes, the float or the float needle is sticking in an open position. The only other possibility is a float that has a pinhole in it and has filled with petrol and will no longer float as it should.

Suzuki say not to fill the fuel tank to the top. fill it 3/4 full to allow for heat expansion.

Kick starting and petrol leak

Yup, needle valve. Even a spec of sand can cause this. Take it apart and clean or replace it. Get a new overflow hose on it as well (helps keep dirt out of the carb and directs excess fuel away from the hot engine).

Petrol flows out the overflow

It could be the float, and or needle valve are stuck, causung the carb to flood continusily.
Pop the float bowl off and see what state things are in.

Hope this is of some help.

Nsr 125 2000 problem with petrol

Hi!
Your description although very brief appears to relate to carburretor as overflow will only occur due to sticking float valve.
A clean up of internals required, attention carefully to float valve.
Good luck!
Oh if you respond positively with Fixya button it will be a great help?

CARB PROBLEMS TTR 125 06 Reg

Hi,

Offhand, fuel overflow could be brought about by:
  • misadjusted/punctured float; and/or
  • dirt/sand lodged in the fuel inlet valve. Often this fuel inlet valve is a pin with one end pointed (sometimes rubber) and is controlled by the float.
A seized starter plunger would have to be replaced. This problem could have been brought about by:
  • short/jumping contacts of the starter switch;
  • sticking/corroded terminals/contactors of the starting relay.
Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.
